She told me her friend's son had a partner who had her own business. She told me that she had something for me. I was like what, what! I was united in excitement! When I came to her house to pick up the gift, of course I was pleased with what she gave me. I really enjoy and appreciate any thing that uplifts melanated women. I just knew I had to overshare these "Black Queen" earrings. I love it! I did not find a website for this person but if you like items like the earrings above please feel free to contact Ms. Sanders. She has personalized unique goods and services for you to purchase; particularly with phenomenal women like you in mind.

This controversial piece is kind of like my Twitter Tweets of The Week. I cruise around Twitter and talk about many random things trending but this time it will be with post from Instagram. Sometimes there is audio so please don't forget to click on the links in purple to listen in. I dedicate this controversy to Women's History Month and of course, towards the black liberation for black people and black agendas of freedom in all nations! Enjoy! Jazmyn W. is snuggling up close to making history. Watch out for her. This SFM created her own lane of opportunity right on Instagram. She is a self-made black girl comedian that rocks, hilariously. I stumbled on her page one day and I am stuck on all the chapters in her life. Jazmyn did not wait for any big network or person to believe in her abilities because she knows her worth. Her gift to make you laugh is certainly making room for her to soar in her purpose driven destiny like she is supposed to do. When you live, move, and bask in your calling, all of your needs will be met. Just step out in faith and do it. Once you visit Jazmyn Instagram page you might want stay, smile and laugh. I know she is not wearing my Fresh-Girl blouse I just bought! Oh, wait, she is wearing it. Fresh Dolls are allowed to wear the hottest styles. The Fresh Dolls was created by a women named Dr. Lisa Williams. Dr. Lisa wanted black and brown girls to suffocate in the value of their worth. She wanted the representation of multi-cultural girls reflected in their much needed brand. Unfortunately, a lot of melanated children do not see the beauty of their skin in themselves. Thankfully things are more inclusive; giving change a head start to live in promoting positive images that little black and brown girls can relate to. It is very common to buy dolls for melanated children and they articulate the dolls that look like them, are ugly. They go directly to the white dolls and select them to purchase. Some even have said the white doll is better looking and prettier than the black dolls. I can personally testify to this. It wasn't in 1950 or 1960 when I witnessed it. This happened to me in 1990. It is extremely rare for white girls to only want to buy black dolls. Everything has been centered and designed for them. This has been a heavy issue in our communities and in this society for ages. The best thing about The Fresh Dolls is, it is a black owned company. Ope is on a gracious mission to dress you up in styles of her art, coupled in bliss and 'haunteness'. When you engage on her page you will understand why different agencies, models, and fashion magazines love working with her kind of energy. Ope is a woman Power Pretty Mam excellence. She took what the Lord gave her and she multiplied it in huge pieces of Ope Style Labs, everywhere for all people, all seasons and all occasions. Ope is a gift of Women's History. This is something worthy to discuss. Spelman College has seen an increase in their admissions department. They have 20% more students who applied for the 2021-2022 school year. Incidentally, Spelman is a Historic Black College created for black women. I pray for a magnitude of more lawyers, doctors and politicians in that new growth spurt from Spelman. I personally think college is overrated. I am totally not saying you shouldn't attend. I am just extending the possibility of considering, not having a degree will not hinder you. If you know what you want and work hard to obtain it, it's already yours. It is waiting for you to catch up to it. There is a great populace of individuals who have had no degrees and running multi-million dollar companies. There are people with several college degrees, who can't find work. A lot of those folks created their own businesses. We live in a time where having your own side hustle or business is the best route to go. Kudos to all the women at Spelman who are getting ready to help run the world (girls). What is the reasoning behind Governor Kemp in Georgia limiting early voting and placing restrictions on individuals predominately in the black community? Why is he requiring residents to have identification in order to vote? Why did he prohibit giving water and food to black voters standing in long lines waiting to vote? I'll tell you why. Kemp is the continuation of Jim Crow part 2. History is repeating itself with laws this man has put in place. He is afraid of that black vote and he should be. There was a state representative who was arrested for knocking on Kemp's door as he was signing the legislation into law. Georgia don't let him get away with this! Jim Crow has to go. It is not welcomed. Women empower the world! They always do. They are gifted with some kind of special flaming hot sauce to bring encouragement upon you when you need it. I know how powerful my tongue is and how magical my thoughts are. If we write our words down and continue to soak our mind in positive words, it will consume us in our thoughts. This will fix all of the things we need in order to be what the creator predestined us to be. Say it over and over again and your mind will start to believe it. Then you will begin to practice good habits and attract what is yours. "Life is always working out for me." Say this when you are having a bad day and watch miracles have its way in your day. You can affirm yourself daily. "Today is going to be an amazingly great day for me." "My kids are blessed and they will thrive successfully in life." "My husband and family is always protected. Angels are guarding my family and my friends." "This next business deal will be mines and I will live in abundance because of it." "My health is very wealthy and before sickness comes I am already healed." "I am always surrounded by Yahweh's (God ) love. Nothing will be able to stand in God's presence. No wickedness allowed." "The Lord will order my steps today; leading me and guiding me in all of my decisions " Granted, there are plenty of women who don't like other women and prefer to only hang around men. I understand and that is their prerogative. I will not be focusing on those women. I know there is more positive energy in sisterhood than negative. What I enjoy most is seeing how women add to other women, graciously. I can personally give a plethora of examples from my own life to tell you there are women out here in this big world who purposely want to help you and not hurt you. They will do it without announcing it to the world how they deposited successfully into your life. We fix each other's crowns. That's just what we do! I know this is a bit off the topic however, I am very thankful to have a platform to discuss the injustices we continue to face as melanated people. All of the folks in the picture above came from the womb of a black woman. Unarmed seems to have been their crime. In America we embrace the need to help practically many
individuals in different countries. We completely fail when the subject is human beings with a darker skin tone in our own country. Democrats and republicans see exactly what we all see and they have done nothing. No legislation has been passed to punish those who do not serve and protect certain Americans. Only with cruelty do they serve. Meanwhile white supremacist males like Dylan Roof wasn't unarmed but he was armed. The police managed to take him alive gently and buys him some Burger King. This racist system allows for black males and white males to be treated differently because this is the way it was designed. I know we have black men and women in law enforcement. There are a multitude of black lawyers and judges who are woke. We have more than enough black politicians, educators, professionals and organizations to start an army. Aren't we tired of hashtags and marching? I guess we are not! No other group of people would tolerate this. This has to die! The way we kill it is economically. Again, I say unto you, we need our own everything! We need our own businesses and it is imperative for black folks to get involved in their local and national politics. We need the right people in place, politically and economically. Prejudice Dismissed with Little Kisses
Amaria and Andrea are two sisters who are 8 and 10 years old. They love being in the company of women in their family. Most, if not all of the women are Deltas or serve in the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority. Their mom is in a sorority (Delta) and their grandma is an AKA. They idealize their grandmother and they want be in a sorority when they go away to college. The grandmother is extremely active in her chapter. The mother isn't very active. Their dad has several businesses so Amaria and Andrea are quite familiar with all the lingo dealing with running a business, sales, and customer service. They have been exposed to so much at their ages. Their mom is an educator. They want to be professors like their mom. Grandma Olivia is a member of the association board where she resides. Olivia is the secretary of the board and a retired librarian. There is a president, a vice president, and several other members on the board of all backgrounds. The girls attend the meetings sometimes when their parents have to work late. They often sit to the side at a smaller table writing and doing homework. This time they are quite shocked at the meeting. President (Felecia): Tonight will be a brief meeting because I have to meet with management to talk about the membership of this board. I will openly discuss with the board what we talked about at our next monthly meeting. The first thing on the agenda is the new doors with our new contractors. We have old business to vote on as far as a member being allowed to live cooperatively next to non-smoking vs smoking members. Member (BettyAnn): I have the rest of the minutes for you Felecia and for the the rest of the... Olivia: (Cuts BettyAnn off) I don't need you to do my job! Betty stay in your lane! I can do my own minutes. White women want to control everything. Member (BettyAnn): I am sorry you feel that way Olivia but I am not shocked. I was asked to simply finish taking the minutes when you left ten minutes early last month, that's all. I just wanted to report to the board how we were unable to come to a consensus regarding the non-smoking ordinance. Two members were absent but are here today. We can vote again. Olivia: (LOUDLY) YOU'RE NOT SORRY FOR ANYTHING. YOU COULD HAVE WAITED FOR ME TO GIVE MY REPORT BUT OH NO, YOU JUST HAD TO GO FIRST! President (Felecia): Olivia, you are out of order! Please refrain from yelling and screaming at other board members. I asked Betty to finish the minutes when you left. This is highly unprofessional and I will adjourn this meeting if you continue this behavior. Olivia: NO, BETTY IS OUT OF ORDER! I'm out of here! President (Felecia): Meeting is adjourned. The entire board is upset. Betty is in tears. The mood is negative. The girls hug all 10 board members goodbye as they normally do. This time they kiss Betty on the cheeks (Amaria right cheek, Andrea left). Andrea discretely hands Betty a note and whispers "please read later." Olivia: Let's go girls. Amaria & Andrea: Coming grandma. Later that day BettyAnn reads the note from Amaria and Andrea. Dear Ms. Betty, We always love seeing you at the meetings. We are so sorry that our grandma treated you bad. We were not raised to be mean to others. We will talk to our grandma about this situation and she will apologize to you. Love you always. We hope you feel better. And have a good night. Andrea and Amaria Sometimes race has absolutely NOTHING to do with it. Maybe YOU need to change. I totally get how, right about now, some folks reading this will embrace many dips of offense at various levels. Keep sipping. You might be turned off by what I am going to say. Guess what, I am not concerned with your emotions over truth. We all know people who have less melanin in their skin that enjoy their privilege. We all engage in a little bit of favor. Hopefully not at the expense of another person's mental well-being. No disclaimer is needed. I know these behaviors will not go away without a good fight. These particular species know this world has a history of colonizers coupled with the juicy blueprint of white supremacy that they've all benefited from. For the record, you may not be a person who secretly uses the n-word. You might not dribble and dabble in racism. You might even have black friends as some of you like to express. You might even have cute biracial babies with melanated people. Okay, so what! You still benefit from this firm European structured system. White privilege is never welcomed with me. Today it greeted a family member on her property, right in her yard. There is this neighbor who lives by my family member who never speaks to her. Let's call her Amy. Amy has been living at her home address for 10 years. One day Amy comes home and witnesses her neighbor in her yard cutting off purple flowers from her bush. This woman has never spoken to Amy. She didn't even bother to ask Amy if she could go in her yard to cut flowers off of her bush. This is the white entitlement we are used to. This privilege is authored by the Karens all over this world. Amy kept all of her cool in tact. Amy had every right to snap, crackle, and pop if she wanted to. She didn't play the role of the angry black girl that they love seeing. Amy was too smart for that. She did address the issue to the right person. Do you think Amy could go on her neighbors property, see something that she liked and just take it? All together, hell naw! That woman would have called the police so fast. Amy would have been arrested. Double standards, inequities and the stain of Jim Crow is prevalent in the lives of black folks. It is a never-ending battle even in 2021. Pay no attention to the two republican congressmen from Florida (Rick Scott) and (Tim Scott) of South Carolina making the comment about America not being a racist country. May the truth set them free because black people are still being lynched and oppressed. Are they serious? You do know that Rick and Tim have the same last names, right? This only means folks in Rick's bloodline owned the folks in Tim's bloodline on the Scott Plantation. It wasn't that long ago. We see the evidence of the residue from the effects, today. This is Amy's bush with the purple flowers that grows each spring. Isn't it such a shame! Amy's rude neighbor has never spoken to Amy out of the 10 years they have been neighbors. Amy's neighbor felt so embolden to go on over in Amy's yard and cut flowers from her bush without even asking Amy if she could. She wanted flowers so she took it. What a lot of nerve! Amy told me It wasn't about the purple flowers it was the principle. As stated previously, if Amy did that to her neighbor, the woman would have called the police on her and told the cops Amy was trespassing on her property. We would have seen it all over the news. We are not moved by the spirit of false thoughts in superiority. The neighbor was ordered not to trespass on Amy's property. Do you ever wonder what happened to all those young black boys and men that were so little, adorable, and innocent. Me too! What happened? We can blame them not having fathers, no discipline, no role-models and no respect for rules. If black lives really matters, we have to do better. You are also welcome to be in your feelings. I am about to revoke your excuses pass because there are no more time for excuses for you, me, and us not to collectively do all we can to make our communities safer and gun zone free. There is this cool cat who has a YouTube channel. My Life In The Chi is a must watch channel. This young brother has all the ratchetness your heart desires. I remember when he tried to do more positive videos. The ratings were low because we love to see violence. He started doing more of the killings and shootings in Chicago and his ratings went up. Sad but true. Check out the many hundreds of videos he has produced. He also did a documentary of Chicago's violence. Like I said, if our lives matter, and I believe that to the majority of black folks it does matter. I am going to need the others hanging by the wayside to step up. We love to talk about the police killing us but when we kill each other we remain silent. It is very disheartening and disappointing to see all of our babies getting gunned down in broad daylight and no one saw nothing. C'mon yall. This is taking men away from their sons and daughters. I concede not knowing all of the answers but if we come together and help patrol our neighborhoods we can decrease the gun violence. Shame on you for carrying all that weight around in your mind. You know its time to speak up now.
I am right 'black' at it again to show off all of the Black Owned Black Businesses located in the south suburban area. Dulce by Dori is where you can come get your sweet candy apples, chocolates covered in everything, and her famous Taffy Grapes. Who knew there was such a fast growing populace of melanated individuals going after their birthrights to leave a financial legacy to their families. If you are visiting Chicago or live in Chicagoland area, please come support the businesses south of Chicago. They lost quite a few businesses in the suburbs. Some towns are trying to build but they are still struggling to maintain their affairs and brand. My aim is to love and support "us" more. I especially like to promote those women and men who are not well known. Please do your part. Join me in this Sancti-Fly quest to help keep these businesses open. In order to increase the economics in our communities and change the trajectory of our bloodlines, I am unapologetic and proud to promote "Black Owned Black" owned and owned, until the break of dawn, stories, businesses and financial literacy. Let me be very clear, if this is something you are not into or feeling, this isn't for you. That's okay. I am speaking only to those individuals who truly want to see black folks thriving economically in freedom. This is how we collectively kill all layers of racism and white supremacy. May you manifest all of the BEST, THINK with economic lens (vision), and stay UNIFIED to buy black; ensuring that all our dollars stay in our communities, thus, giving our young people jobs. All are very welcome to jump in to support black owned black dollars and cents. There is a shift in the universe. It is time to get on board. No more excuses. Dulce by Dori has a very special trademark for their candy flavored apples. They can take any apple and personalize it to your taste buds. I know you thought an apple (taffy apple) rolled up in caramel and nuts was the only way to indulge in eating apples. Dulce by Dori will show you flavors you've been missing. They've only been in the City of Park Forest for a few years. They are hanging on with the help of the community support. These delicious little desserts are in their own lane of addiction. You can add a few different flavors to the grapes but that chocolate turtle in the picture above is everything! Did someone just whisper yummy? Yes, these Taffy Grapes are also one of Dulce by Dori's signature treats. I was talking to some of the business partners and local board members in the Park Forest community to find out about some of the entrepreneurs planted in their village. Park Forest, Matteson, Hazel Crest, University Park, and plenty of other suburban localities are rebuilding their communities with new business ventures, so come out to the suburbs to engage in fun times. Check out Main Street and Lester where Park Forest is blooming with black owned businesses.
This controversial piece is kind of like my Twitter Tweets of The Week. I cruise around Twitter and talk about many random things trending but this time it will be with post from Instagram. Sometimes there is audio so please don't forget to click on the links in purple to listen in. I dedicate this controversy to the black liberation for black people and black agendas of freedom in all nations! In honor of African American History, I will make this episode my focus. Enjoy! What is racist about a little black boy affirming his worth; finding hope and joy in wearing a t-shirt? Black boys are not viewed as little boys because no matter how positive they are, the dominant society continues to group them all as thugs or with negative images. Black boys are often tried as adults. Where is the liberty and justice for all, for them in that? America continues to contradict itself when the subject pertains to African-American boys. African American families can raise their kids perfectly but they can't change a person's heart or opinion of the kids they have. Black parents have to ensure their boys are trained properly on how to interact with the police if they are profiled driving or stopped by walking. I want those who feel like this teacher to ask yourself this question. Have you ever been a little black boy before? Have you ever raised a black boy? Do you know what it feels like to be a parent of little black boys? Until you have walked in their shoes, try to get an understanding before the length and width of your ignorance goes viral. Incidentally, there is no need for a white history month. If you study history or know something about it, you already know that Europeans framed everything around Europeans. Please refrain from acting brand new. Politicians and the criminal justice system is history dominated by Europeans. This is why black folks are still fighting for the right to be treated as full-time American black citizens. Europeans do not have to fight for their human or civil rights. Does it even make sense for people born in America, who pay their taxes, to still have to stand up for their equality? Well this is where it stands! I truly adore and appreciate the Eans family brand. "I LUV YOU (BLK) WOMAN, (BLK) MAN, BOYS, and GIRLS." This is definitely something black Americans can benefit from. It's not that we don't have love for each other. This message helps to solidify our unity and bond of love. Hopefully it will spill over into the minds of those knuckle heads who don't love themselves or anybody else. I like how this particular family shared that their children told them wearing the shirts make them feel special. That is the objective. Black kids experience harsher punishments in school and if no one shows them their value they wouldn't have a clue. We want our kids to feel good and magical. We want to protect them. We know we have lots of work to do in our community. We are doing it! It will always start with self-love and leading by example. The media is bias half of the time. They show black men doing something, then they show white men doing the same crime but they add positive imagery to his name. Like, he was an A student with a nice picture of him, or he had a troubled life. I totally get it. We have to do even better to create positive male images on our own. It appears to be hard for certain media groups to disassociate one man who allegedly commits a crime from the next, if he is black. This is why it's very important for black people to get involved in their local and national politics. Too many of the wrong people look at our kids and men then say they are guilty to be proven guilty. It is supposed to be, you're innocent until proven guilty. Watch the commercials and any kind of advertisement. Image controls potently. It is images they constantly see. This is why we love the skin we are in. This is why we make up phrases like "Black Girls Rock" and "I LUV YOU (BLK) MAN." We are quite aware of all the negative forces we have been up against since we were born. Collectively, we purposely smother all the white supremacy and racism with good ole fashioned self-love images and self-love, period. There are quite a few songs that glorifies slavery. We can and should be able to acknowledge that it is a bad taste of history. Yes it is history but we are not about to celebrate over here. They were right to have gotten rid of the song. In 1997 (um, not long ago) the politicians in the state of Virginia House of Delegates said its time for a radical change. They decided the song "Carry Me Back to Old Virginny" wasn't the theme of the times they were living in. A plantation melody! They had the standard version and that popular remix piece. Please share this black history with your kids. Lyrics in music matters. Before some of the people who are African American comment on this lovely Instagram post, remember this is all about controversy of things people do and say. Mr. Walker is entitled to think and speak this way if he doesn't agree with reparations. I certainly do not concur. White supremacy is still prevalent. Black folks have made some major announcements but we are still facing the same economic and political oppression our ancestors battled. This proves we don't all think alike. What say you? Thank you Joyce Beatty! I guess yall gonna learn one day! The best thing you could ever do to a black woman is tell her that "she can't do it" and she will make you out of a lie. Gone gurrrl! Post Traumatic Slave Syndrome (PTSS) is real. Generational side effects can be good or bad. PTSS is not something you want in your favor. PTSS can pass all the way down from bloodlines. I absolutely believe that. I also see it. All of the lynching, incest, rape, brutality, and the hate has had an effect on the populace of black folks. Sadly, it is not over. It hasn't ended. It has a new shadow but its still there. Mental wellness is also a factor. Do you not think it has played a part? It's always time to change the narrative anytime duty calls you to expose it. These black men selflessly showed up for Texas to do some free plumbing work.
These are the images they don't show you. We see you CNN, keep it up! Today's Motivation and Encouragement:
As we grow in grace and in wisdom we decide what we will allow and things we will not permit. The inspirational warfare of today is to practice being calm in every situation. Calmness is your super power. You can sometimes exacerbate the problem by not being calm. Learning to be calm rather than reacting emotionally all of the time is healthier for your entire being (mind, body, spirit). It will not be an easy task, this is why you have to practice. Pause and think before you "go off" on someone. Tune negative energy out. I don't care who it comes from, dismiss it. Sometimes you have to separate yourself from toxic people. Protect your energy and your space. Remember, once you release those words into the air you cannot take it back no matter how sorry you are! Apologies will not erase what you said so watch your mouth. Improve your mind with more positive thinking. Breathing exercises really do work. I know that some folks are probably thinking breathing exercises are not realistic or the first thing they would do when incidents or situations arises. As you learn to lean on techniques to help you it will be like second nature. Fighting against hypertension and stress is conducive to good habits of self control. “Self-control is strength. Right thought is mastery. Calmness is power. ” ― James Allen, As a Man Thinketh MICHELLE OBAMA Michelle you better gone-gurl with that magnificent shine surrounding you! The belt, the coat, and that two-piece burgundy bliss is what brown skin mamas are made of. She is paid, in brave. She often shifts in fierce. She is the face of a lady, an influencer. Michelle is attached to audacities of hope as she helps women and girls cope in success. She is sophisticated, sexy, a boss, and she is representing it all, with her clothes on. Teach young ladies and girls how to copy that! Life is about choices. Mrs. Obama is fully covered and she still has sex appeal, beauty, and intelligence. Michelle's power is so pretty. We all want that look. Michelle, gimme that? They rock "the hot" sitting down and standing up. Going to an all white party will never be obsolete when you have Michelle Obama sitting directly next to your seat. She will be spitting out 'Becoming' lyrics to all the Sancti Fly Mamas in the mix of attendance. Look at three generations wrapped up tight in the color of love (white), in grace, and eloquence. Gimme all of that!
These King Papas and Power Pretty Mamas are all Cook County judges in the state of Illinois. This is extraordinary! I'm thrilled to share this unknown black history fact with you. Can you tell me, what do all of these high school faces have in common? Ok, too slow! I did give you a big hint. They all went to the John M. Harlan (judge) Community Academy High School. This school was in the area called Roseland. Yes! This particular high school gave birth to 8 judges. Eight black judges in one high school? Yep! Not the average 2.29 per school, but 8! If ya don't know, now you know! Tell your babies they can do it too! We need more righteous judges in our community. Politics and economics go hand in hand to change the land.
Honor is given to these American Black History judges: Darron E. Bowden, Michael Brown, Marsha D. Hayes, Lewis M. Nixon, Nathaniel R. Howse, Jr. David B. Atkins and Sybil C. Thomas. Also Kari K. Steele. Judge Steele and Judge Howse have the title of Appellate Court Judges around their waist. It is time to celebrate the sweet embrace of womanhood. Maybe tell some corny jokes, and remind all men interested in YOU that it is utterly imperative for them to work hard for you. If they are serious about you, it is time for them to woo you with gifts, time, and affection! It is time to switch from boring nights to magical bliss. Have yourself a late date night dance of romance. You are the prize! You are the gifts of history (women). Women all over the world can relate and agree with Mrs. Obama statement. In the United States, as well as other countries, there has been a growing trend in sex trafficking women and girls. Even other women are believed to have their say in kidnapping these females. Greed is the motive. If you agree to turn the other way, you can get filthy rich. This male dominated society hasn't always valued our women and girls. Women had to fight to have a right to vote. Particularly, we have left black women and girls by the wayside. Thankfully, there are people in law enforcement, in different agencies and organizations who are making sure women and girls are safe and protected. Then, there are the masses who seek what they can gain from exploiting women. Women do not stand by the sidelines for anything they want. They go after it and they make it happen, not just for themselves, but for others in need. Shirley Chisholm provided a need to those in need. Just like you! Ms. Chisholm looked around and she noticed congress didn't have any black women represented in their chambers so she sowed that need. Women are reaping the benefits of her decision. Thank you for contributing to the continuation of meeting the needs of other women as you sow your magic, they shall reap into parts of your legacy. This woman was something to be excited about. Sor Juana Ines de la Cruz was a Mexican nun in the 17 century who became proactive in women's rights. Men did their best to silence her, unsuccessfully. Sor Juana overcame all of their chauvinistic tactics. They could not stop her from speaking and writing her truth. How fantastic it is to see women like Chien-Shiung Wu soar to new heights in the nuclear physics arena. Her legacy allows other women and girls to pursue a career in physics; pushing passionately on that same path. It gives our young ladies and girls an example to emulate. Chien was the first woman to hold the position as president of the American Physics Society. When I learned about Dorothy Vaughan, Katherine Johnson, and Mary Johnson, I was beaming with pride to know these three black women were actually live computers for NASA. In the movie, Hidden Figures these women were hired by NASA as mathematicians during a time when black people and women were viewed by the dominant society as nothing. Despite all the trials and tribulations they encountered, they overcame it, and black girl magic left all kind of marks behind with their DNA. YES! Say that, sister Ruth Bader Ginsburg. As a Supreme Court Justice, she knew her role as a judge in the highest seat of the land was very important to have a woman's voice judging issues concerning women by a woman. Does that make sense? I'll answer myself and say, yes. Women belong at the tables where white males tend to make policy decisions about women with no women at the table. We can't ever go for that. No thank you. Give us our seat! Malala Yousafzal is a Pakistani activist for girl's rights. Malala mission has been educating women and girls in her community. She was shot in the head by the Taliban for attempting to empower and educate girls. Some folks do not take their education seriously. Malala did! She survived the shot and continues to thrive. Repeat after Audre Lorde...
"I am not free while any woman is unfree, even when her shackles are very different from my own." Nothing else is needed to be said. To those women who make the choice not to care or get involved, I say stop drowning and bleeding in greed! |
