1921 TULSA RACE RIOTS
Melanated people were thriving financially and surviving in the black excellence they continue to be immersed in back in the early 1900s, in light of the oil profits. Black folks had their own segregated stores, churches, schools, banks and hospitals in Tulsa, Oklahoma. They took that black-owned theme to the 10th power. They owned and operated everything on their own, successfully. Their adversary did not like it. They never did. They still don’t. Perhaps they were a bit jealous of how the black community of Greenwood was doing extremely well and they (whites) were not. The suburb of Tulsa (Greenwood) was drowning and bleeding in abundance. The white folks were jealous of the progression in Greenwood. White rioters began to plot their 18 hours of attacks. They looted and burned down the entire city on May 31-June 1 in 1921. They terminated 300 African Americans lives. Blacks tried to fight back but they were outnumbered when bombs started dropping from the sky. They could not compete with that.
Annihilation should = reparations but this hasn’t happened. Why? Where is the atonement when you have the government participating in wiping out the fine prosperity of bloodlines? Also, why do they NOT talk about this in what they call Social Studies (History) classes? It is imperative for African American children and people to know this prominent part of their history. This tells me if a bunch of dark pigmented skin people had the mind to purposefully create a “Black Wall Street” then it can be done again. It is in their DNA to survive and control their own destinies. No one else should have a monopoly over their lives but them.

Sancti-Fly Papas by the names of Charlie, Robert, and Ronnie Wilson resided proudly from Greenwood Avenue in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The inception of their group name was Greenwood Archer and Pine Street Band back in 1967. They abbreviated the name to The GAP Band. I believe Uncle Charlie Wilson is the only living member out of the three. These three African American men gave us a rich piece of history to commemorate the death and destruction of the 1921 Race Riots in Tulsa. The Wilson brothers produced a song about love, but others tied their song to the massacre because of the title. “You Dropped A Bomb On Me.” I am sure some of you have heard the song before at family gatherings, parties or on your local radio stations. Each time you listen to this song, please understand the significance this song exudes to the history of African Americans who built great wealth. Charlie Wilson is very pleased about bringing attention to his hometown of Tulsa Oklahoma. You know, those folks known as melanated people, who pulled themselves up by their bootstraps after all of the Slavery + Jim Crow bondage they had to endure in the name of white supremacy. Mr. Jim Crow is not going away. Incidentally, white supremacy is not a hoax. You can’t deny the truth! The deception and covetousness to dominate a race of people is soak and wet in a formidable twist of American History.
