Karam and Kartari Chand gives marriage couples the hope they need to fight for their marriages. They debunked the polemic belief that a marriage is only supposed to last for a certain amount of years or that divorce is imminent. Their legacy of arranged love floods in a bloodline of eight children and 27 grand- children coupled with a host of great-grand babies. I am sure they had trials and tests but they did not quit on each other. It is interesting to me that they did not indulge in an artificial diet. This is a testimony to the world to let you know it can be done; longevity, maybe 90 years for you too! God's Love Math is a fun formula I came up with using a couple's first and last names to see how they match.

Their vowels and consonants surpassed double trouble with a triple hit of love bliss. The K, A and R that do match are in the numeric order of 1, 2, and 3=123. They married in the month of December, back in 1925. Karam's birthday is in the month of November (1905) and so is Kartari's birthday, November 1, 1912.

The very last step of God's Love Math is adding the numbers in the years both people are born in. You add the numbers up one, by one, so if a person is born in 1992 you will add 1+9+9+2 and get 21. Sometimes the numbers will mean or represent something significant to a couple and sometimes not.

The Sister Circle Girlfriend Chats is a fictitious online radio show hosted by 5 women who happen to be girlfriends. It is a platform where women come together to support each other during human issues they have in life. They laugh, they cry and they get real girlfriend solutions if they choose to take heed. Iona starts off the circle by discussing her exasperation with her new female neighbor’s active lifestyle. They live next to each other in their upscale condominium building. Iona states that her female neighbor has a different boyfriend every week. It is hard for her to sleep at night in light of her neighbor’s sexual activity. ​

Iona:
Welcome to our Sister Circle! I am delighted to start off the chat today. I recently got a new neighbor in my condo building. She is around the same age as I am. She has no kids but I do. I am very frustrated with her because she has a new boyfriend every week. I am subjected to hearing all of their personal business at night. It’s so irritating!

Trisha:
I believe most folks can relate to this. I remember experiencing the same thing when I was single and dating my husband. There was a man and woman who lived in my apartment building and they hooked up with each other often. It was such a bad ending when they broke up. I wasn’t the only one complaining about them. Several other neighbors also felt their displeasure because they would go back and forth to each other's place at night. We were all stuck in the middle of their apartments. Luckily the girl abruptly moved out. There were rumors of some infidelity. All I know is there was so much more peace when she left because he left a few months after the young lady. I am praying for you Iona. I totally empathize.

Iona:
Okay…but wait…you said you were dating your husband back then? So what did he think about the situation. I’m just curious about a man’s perspective. I don’t know what I would do if I had to deal with two of them. 

Trisha:
Yes, I was dating my husband. He always remained neutral as he listened to me. He didn’t like it. We always tried our best to be mindful of others when we had our special time together or we would go to a hotel. I appreciate being able to have my own home where I have more space. I dislike being wall to wall with others. Certain walls are so thin when they are linked together. You can hear everything.  

Kayla:
I am surprised you didn’t say something to your neighbor Iona. I don’t like to assume so if you did confront her, what was the outcome. I can relate to this. I’ve had this happen to me multiple times as an unmarried single woman. I use to just turn up my television or get my earplugs and listen to my music.

Iona:
Yes, Kayla, you know I did! I confronted her. I verbally spoke to her about the situation. I sent her text messages. I tried all the loud music and television. It didn’t get me anywhere. I even told her how I have to get up early to get my kids ready for school. It seemed to slow down a bit for a while, and then she started it back up again. She is a nice person but I don’t like her behavior. I think it is so disrespectful towards me and my kids to keep asking her to tone it down. As neighbors we do look out for one another but her lifestyle is terrible.
 
Kayla:
What did she say when you mentioned it to her?

Iona:
Of course she acted like she was going to comply. She said thanks for letting her know and “will do” like everything was okay. We verbally got into it once before because I told her that I felt she was being very disrespectful. She didn’t think she was because she replied…how. I told her I didn’t want to hear her personal business every night with her gentleman company.  Most of my neighbors that live in our condo are all members and we pay to live there peacefully. She is the only one who interacts this way. THE ONLY ONE!

Valaria:
Unfortunately I can also relate Iona. I use to live by a police officer who was a bachelor and experienced the exact same thing. I lived in a townhome at the time. The walls were very thin and every time he had relations I was able to hear it. I only mentioned it to him one time and I noticed after that, he started making sure he was a lot quieter.  I know my case is rare so I really wish you the best girl! 

Constance:
Iona, why won’t you complain to the association? There should be some kind of stipulations for disturbing the peace at night. I understand she has a right to live there; to do and go as she pleases but you live in that building too. You also have rights. I would go straight to management. I am so grateful I don’t have to go through that anymore. It is a blessing to have your own home where you don’t have to be too close to other people as Trisha stated.

Iona:
I really didn’t want to go that route. I may have to. We will have to go before the board and then probably mediation if it is not resolved. I will have to take off work. I really don’t have the time. 

Constance:
Well you tried to talk to the girl! I mean, what else is left! She acts like she is looking for love in all the wrong places. No woman should allow her temple to be used and abused like that.

Kayla:
What do you mean by that Constance? If a man is sexually free to express himself with his sexuality it is no big deal but as soon as a woman does it, it’s a problem? This world has too many double standards. I would love to hear what our callers have to say.

Iona:
Um…well the lines are totally rocking off the hook. Thanks for that viewpoint Kayla.

Kayla, sweetie there is no double standard with me. I am a mother of a little boy. I am raising him to respect his body and all women at an early age. In my opinion, I don’t think it is healthy or safe for anyone; women or men to have different people in and out of their bedroom doors every week as stated by Iona in her situation.

First of all, hello to all the beautiful ladies of the Circle and to those who are listening. There is no way around a man not enjoying the excitement and fun of knocking the boots with his lady. I certainly do empathize with you Iona but on the other hand, what is the young lady in question supposed to do? Maybe you can have a conversation with your neighbor and ask her if the two of you can set some type of schedule. That way, when she wants to have company over, you will know it and you can make arrangements not to be at home. She can make arrangements to have her quality time with her boo when you are not home. Keep in mind that the fact of you having kids should matter but it really doesn’t. I mean, it is her home too. 

​Iona:
Well considering all of her company creeps into her house late at night, I don’t think an arrangement is possible. I disagree with you concerning my kids but I respect your opinion. Thank you for calling in. 

Constance:
Alberto, are you still there? Why should Iona attempt to make any arrangements with her neighbor? She already expressed to her how it is affecting her and her household. She has already communicated how her behavior is disturbing Iona’s peace. I understand it is her residence too but as neighbors, shouldn’t we respect each other and try to come up with a peaceful resolution. 

Valeria:

Anonymous:
I am going through all the episodes Iona spoke about. My neighbor is a man and he has a main girlfriend but he also has other women over his house constantly. I don’t understand why he never turns on his music to drown out the sound. I live in an apartment complex so yes, the walls are very thin. I can hear his headboard rocking back and forth. I can hear the springs in his mattress squeaking left and right. It’s a shame! I have talked to him about it but nothing has changed.

​Iona:
Girlfriend, sounds like your neighbor needs to get a new mattress. Seriously, are you saying he has a main chick but he is cheating with other women?

Anonymous:
Yes, it appears that way. I hope they are being cautious. ​

Constance:
We have a Mr. Frederick on the line. Hello Frederick. You are very welcome to chat, sir.

Frederick:
Wait…wait…wait. I can’t sit by and allow your assumptions to corrupt the audience. Ms. Anonymous you don’t know if that is his main chick or side chick. You can’t say that. You don’t know! Why are women so nosy! They probably have an understanding Anonymous. She is probably seeing other people as well. Women are NOT innocent! Maybe it’s an open relationship and it is his business. I brought my first house at 21 and before then, I was always making love in a house. If I did have a townhouse or an apartment, there would be no compromise with anyone on how much sex I can have in the privacy of my house. Sorry, it’s a non-negotiable topic. We all know the woman comes to the man house anyway. Iona you’ve done it. You do have 2 kids, right! Constance you’ve done it! I am pretty sure Ms. Anonymous has done it as well. I am sure you all have disturbed someone else’s peace before whether you knew it or not so please stop acting like you haven’t. It's a part of life!

Kayla:
Ouch…I am so guilty of this! You might be correct Frederick. The issue is Iona and her female neighbor, who she has tried to reason with unsuccessfully. Let's stick to the topic.

Constance:
Frederick, I could go back and forth with how you are assuming that we have all allowed this to happen. I will not. There are some people in this world who are quite mindful of others and try their best to treat people the way they want to be treated. I can only speak for myself when I say if I was having relations with my husband when he and I were dating; they heard us by accident and not on purpose. There is a difference. If I am unaware and you speak to me about it then I know. If I keep doing it, then I am doing it on purpose and being inconsiderate.

Valeria:
We have another caller. I believe her name is Lupe. Oh, nope it is a guy. Sorry, go head Lupe. You are welcome to chat with us. ​

Lupe:
I just want to touch on what some of the other callers have stated. Although Iona feels like her neighbor is being disrespectful and inconsiderate. Iona has to look at it from another angle. Just because Iona has 2 children does not mean other people’s lives and fun has to stop. I think Iona is being awfully judgmental about her neighbor’s lifestyle. She has the right to live her life the way she wants. As a man, I won’t say I will die without having sexual relations with my girl but it is something that I enjoy doing. She likes coming over my house. I like having her there.  I don’t agree with her neighbor disturbing your peace Iona. I think it is time for you to talk to the management where you live and try to solve your problems through them. 

Valeria:
Yes, I agree. There needs to be some sort of mediation between Iona and her neighbor. We are running out of time but we have time for a few more callers. Toussaint you’re up. You are very welcome to chat.

I just want to give a shout out to all the men who are representing on the Sister Circle. I believe Lupe is right. Iona, you have to figure out how to come together in unity with your neighbor. Yes you! You’re the one with the complaint. If you don’t you will continue going around the same circle. Your neighbor appears to be reluctant to acknowledge your problem with her. Your best bet is to have a mediator to help you resolve it. You will have to sacrifice taking off work. I know you mentioned earlier that you didn’t want to do that but you may have to. Peace!

Trisha:​
​There are a lot of men calling in. I am a bit surprised. We have another caller and she is a woman. Alice welcome to the Circle, are you ready to chat?

Alice:
​Yes, I am ready! I have been trying for ever to get through so just because the men got through don’t mean women aren’t calling because we are.  Iona, at the end of the day you have to live at the place you reside so do what you think is best for you. I understand you spoke with your neighbor and you continue to suffer in silence with her lifestyle. I actually don’t think the scheduling idea is a bad one. It’s either that or going to management. 

Constance
We have another caller. Sheena you are very welcome to chat.

Sheena:
I think the men who spoke on here are full of crap! They sound sexiest and arrogant but I am not surprised. They act like they never heard of the word compassion. You certainly can handle your personal private business and have compassion on others.  Put yourself in her shoes. Having children in your home are very dominant factors when you are trying to make sure they get their rest; also your rest as well. Most people would rather have a peaceful night than not. I understand her neighbor doesn’t have any kids but she moved next to someone who does; geez! It would not hurt her neighbor to be a bit more sensitive to the fact that Iona is a mother; trying to raise 2 kids and they don’t need to be unable to sleep because her neighbor chooses to allow men in and out of her house in the wee hours of the night. It’s a choice she can change if she wants. It’s called compromise people!  

Iona:
Thanks so much Sheena. We have one last caller. I believe a Ms. Flame. Welcome Ms. Flame. What a name.

Ms. Flame:
I can co-sign on a little bit of everything that has been said. Please don’t boo me but I was the woman who would go over to my boyfriend’s house to have our personal time together. At the time, my boyfriend lived next door to a Christian woman in a townhouse. The walls were thin. She always complained that we were too loud. I can admit we did disturb her from having a good night’s sleep. It was totally selfish. I certainly was not raised like that. My man was a stubborn old bull about it. I started feeling guilty about us doing that so I told him to come over to my house or wait until she was not home because she went to church a lot and I know she was praying for both of us. My boyfriend was mad at me when I started encouraging him to respect his neighbor more. It wasn’t because she was a woman. It wasn’t because she was older than us. It wasn’t because she was a Christian. Well, maybe a little bit. It actually was common courtesy and out of respect. Iona, your neighbor does not respect you. If she did she would try to compromise and meet you somewhere in the middle to help resolve the issue.

My friend NovelTee has been a guest writer on Sancti-Fly Mama quite a few times. The other day she told me one of her black male friends was going through some issues. He told her that he really needed some positive energy. She wrote the poem below for him. When I read it I asked her if I could share it on SFM. It was so soothing and REAL. I read her poem over and over again. I dedicate this poem to all the black boys and men. I want them to know that they are important to us, they are LOVED, and they are NOT savages. They have a family; mothers, brothers, fathers and sisters who care about THEM; who pray for them. They are the black experience...they live it EVERYDAY! They are human beings and deserve to be treated as such! They are powerful, spiritual and abundant. We believe in them!

Smile because they don't want you to. There is nothing more fascinating to me than to see a handsome, intelligent, spiritual, passionate, informed, black man smiling. Faced with so many obstacles and overcoming stereotypes with your brain and not your braun. Killing them instead with your ability and knowledge. You are a threat to them because you are whole with yourself. You are connected to a higher power that says you can because he wills it so. You are unstoppable. You are a king. Reign and Rule, my love. That is your right.

The awards show aired last night August 22, 2017. It was hosted by Taraji P. Henson. Yes, I was united in my excitement to witness all those queens uplifting their shine towards each other and the world; showing off all that LOVE! I am still drunk and high from the love. You have to concede throughout the history of black women and historical pain they have endured, black women are impactful, amorous women who remain resilient in love and hope; they’re just too dope! The melanin in their skin encourages them to rise and win because they know they are worthy of the same liberties and opportunities as any other human being. Black Girls Rock against racism+hate. They rock against those who try to silence them and they speak even LOUDER. Black Girls Rock in their ambition, killing all stereotypes to the left and to the right! Black Girls Rock nonstop in their love! Black Girls Rock is not just a statement. It is where longevity meets empowerment; imperative to black women and black girls.

The Sister Circle Girlfriend Chats is a fictitious online radio show hosted by 5 women who happen to be girlfriends. It is a platform where women come together to support each other during human issues they have in life. They laugh, they cry and they get real girlfriend solutions if they choose to take heed. Sometimes they don't take heed. The sisters sit in a circle each week and talk about the issues they want to discuss. They allow callers to call into their show to share their feelings, concerns or comments. Nothing is off limits!

Valaria is a theater teacher with no kids in her mid-30’s. Iona is an author and copywriter. She is the youngest at 25. She is a single mom with 2 kids. Kayla is a professor and mother of 5 children, two of them being a set of twins. She is 28 years old. Kayla is married. Constance is married with one child. She is a stay at home mom; also a personal trainer by profession and a nurse. Constance is 37 years old. Trisha is in her early 40’s. She is a Sales Executive. She is divorced with grown adult children. 

Constance starts off the show by talking about her mother-in-law. Her husband always includes his mother in all of their plans...everywhere that they go. She has put up with it for 15 years and she is exhausted now. The chat begins.

Constance:
Today on our show we are going to talk about an issue that is close to my heart. I pray that my mother-in-law is listening. I have been married for 17 years.  I haven’t figured out a strategy for dealing with my mother-in-law.  Each and every time my husband and I go out, she is always present. I love her but I need my time alone with my family. I know it is not all of her fault. I talked to my husband about it. I have been unsuccessful with him. I understand she is lonely and single but I would like my private time with my husband and child.

Trisha:
I remember this issue! Why don’t you set some time aside for you and your mother-in-law. Take her to lunch or to an event, then tell her how you feel. Constance you have to speak up and be honest!

Constance:
The last time I tried that it blew up in my face. I don’t know what else to do. On my birthday last year I wanted to go to my favorite place to din. My husband said it would be just us. When I arrived at the place his mother was already there because he went and picked her up first. I pulled her to the side to speak with her. In so many words, I told her how I wanted to feel special on my birthday. I asked her if she wouldn’t mind declining sometimes when my husband invites her out with us. She started crying. My husband was upset with me.

Iona:
Constance, when you got married your husband was supposed to forsake all others for you. I understand your husband doesn’t want his mother to feel left out; I totally get that. When he married you he was supposed to cling to you. One of my cousins started her own online dating service. You should encourage your mother-in-law to join the site. She needs a man girl! She needs to get her own life and leave yours alone. You know I’m telling the gospel truth!

Constance:
I agree with you Iona. I take my vows very seriously. Sometimes I think she does it on purpose. I know she can see the expressions on my face EVERY TIME I have to see her. Wow, the phones are lighting up. Kayla, do you have anything to say?

Valeria:
I think your husband should be the one to talk to his mom if you feel some kind of way about his mom always tagging alone with you. 

​Constance:I always tell him that exact thing. He doesn’t want to do it! I think we may be headed to marriage counseling.

Kayla:
Of course I have a lot to say. I don’t see what the big issue is, Constance. It’s his mother. Didn’t she lose her husband a few years ago? Things like that take time. I think you are being a bit selfish and insensitive. How would you feel if it was you? I am sure there are family members that your husband puts up with. He doesn’t make a huge deal out of it. 

Iona:

An American Black family and an American White family are vacationing on the beach; each with their only child.

White Parents:
Excuse me…please help anyone! We are looking for our little boy. He is about 3 years old with blonde hair and blue eyes. Has anyone seen him? He has on tiny swimming shorts. He was just by our side a few seconds ago! (They are desperately searching…)

Black Parents:
Please help us! We are in a daymare. We don’t know where our baby girl is. She is 3 years old with 2 curly pigtails in her hair. She has on a white pair of swimming shorts. She has no top on. (They are frantically searching…)

An angel appears: (The angel brings both parents together)
Your children adore each other. Their hearts are pure but yours are not. The four of you have a foison of nasty bacteria in your hearts. Your children are stuck together for this purpose. They were chosen. They can only be pulled apart by your love for each other. This is your chance to be a disciple of love to the WORLD, if you want your kids back separately.

The angel guides both parents to where their children are but they understand they cannot touch them.

Little Broken Heart of Joy

Christmas morning has arrived but 5 year old Dora has something heavy on her mind. She sits at the breakfast table in tears. Her mother and father are clueless. They want to know what happened to their little girl. Well…

Mama:
Dora! What’s wrong honey? You haven’t touched any of your food. I made your favorite. Why did you place the custom made t-shirt that we got for Mother’s Day in our room? I don’t understand Dora. I need for you to please talk to me. Why did you throw the shirt on the floor? 

Dora: (Pouting, silent)

Mama:
You're not going to say anything? Did I do something wrong? Are you not feeling well? Santa brought you lots of love under the tree. You don't want to open any of your presents? That's not like you!

Dora: (Sobbing)
I don’t want anything from Santa! Dad can I talk to you in private, please?

Papa:
You sure can Dora, how can I help you? You can trust me! What happened?

Dora:
Please give this note to mama for me. I can’t do it. Dad please don’t read it. It will hurt you bad! I don’t want you to be sad, like me.

Papa:
Anything for you Dora, I won’t read it.
(Dora’s father gives the note to the mother and they both chuckle)

Mama:
New man? What are you talking about Dora? Your father is the only man for me!

Dora:
Not True! Dad I saw mama kissing Santa Claus last night. They kissed for a long time too! Santa was squeezing mom's behind dad. What's so funny?

Papa:
Dora, Santa Claus was not feeling well. He asked me if I could fill in for him last night to deliver a few gifts in our neighborhood. Santa wanted to make sure that all your friends and the kids on our block would get their gifts on time. It was me kissing mommy! I love mom very much!

Dora:
Wow dad! You're like Santa's helper! I get it! You saved Christmas. I love you dad! I thought we were going to have to leave mama. Thank goodness!

Mama:
I told you, your dad is the only one for me. We thought you were sleeping. I'm glad you told us Dora. Our family is staying together. Dora why did you throw that shirt on the floor?

Dora:
Well, because when we brought the shirts you had one piece of the heart and I had the other piece of the heart. My heart was broken so I didn't want the shirt any more mom. I thought we were not going to be together as a family. I love my family! You and dad are my life!

Mama: (Smiling)
Oh, Dora please forgive me. I am sorry for that. We love you so much Dora. How does your heart feel now?

Dora:
My heart feels so much better now mama! You and dad are together so my heart is healed! I'm about to open my presents now! :0)

These good words are dedicated to all the Fathers. Pour some on your dad. Lift up, share and act like you care about these men we label as King Papas! Bring some of your positive charm to interject all the negatives.

He is not a father controlled by himself. He is well-disciplined by a higher power (God); striving to be his best self.
Always remember that your father is a GOOD man but he is not perfect; just like you’re not! Ouch!
Please understand that your father trains all little boys to stand as future men. He is unity in the community!
Please don’t have a problem and not talk to your father about it. He eats and drinks problem solver.
Yeah, you said that to your mama but you KNOW not to say it to your father (the iron sharpener).
Fathers are the HEAD of love, protection and provision. They make everything alright!
A father keeps his head up; knowing no corrupt can interrupt what stays ABOVE in God’s love.
They bleed sacrifice…oozing out of their veins and they don’t complain about it. They love you!
He taught you how to rock hard in representing love, family and respect; he’s the coolest dad!
Every time he thinks about his health, his strength and his family he knows he is blessed.
Rest assured Sancti-Fly Star Men are teaching brothers and sisters how to win by positive examples.
See how he’s helping the world change their lives by influencing their minds; yeah he is constantly winning.
Decisions…fathers have to make a lot of decisions so we cover their minds
(in prayer) at all times.
Always remember to state the prerequisite of love and respect to the fathers.

You know fathers love to be essential so stop doing their jobs. Take it easy and let them open that jar or cut that grass. Daddy's home!
