Those who know me are aware of how much I adore watching any of Tyler Perry movies. I don't care what others have said about his movies. I will always go see his movies for myself and guess what, for the most part, I often enjoy them all. I have people in my circle who just don't like Tyler Perry movies and that is their prerogative. Everything is not made for all people. I was quite surprised to hear Tyler Perry speak out against a few of his critics regarding the new movie he just released, "Divorce in The Black." I have not seen that one yet!
Tyler Perry basically stated that he is doing the work God instructed him to do. He is not about to alter that in any way for those who do not like it. Perry also added how satisfying it is to see how many lives he has touched or changed by his movies. Guess he told yall (lol).
We are all entitled to our own thoughts and opinions. Some of us really need to learn how to respect the thoughts and opinions of others, even if they do not agree with you.
I certainly have nothing against the entertainment industry. What we as a nation and group of melanated people really should be focusing on is ensuring our kids are in key roles and authoritative positions so things like the Missouri Supreme Court blocking the overturned convictions of our loved ones and sending them back to jail does not happen. I did not like this. This didn't get any major support from the news media. Probably social media. This is what we've always been up against. This innocent man's wife was getting ready to pick him up and that good ole boy system that their forefathers set up, stood bold and proud. They blocked it. It is wonderful that so many are excited about Kamala. I want us to be just as supportive and concerned about the injustice we are still going through. What will Kamala do? I don't know. Pay attention to how these prosecutors treat our melanated people. The judges too! I do not care if they are red or blue, they are not for us. The evidence is extremely overwhelming. We need our own people in these positions. We need righteous folks in those positions.
