When I first learned about Malcolm X I was very thankful for the foundation he left behind as he fought for the oppression of black or melanated people. Love is an action word. He loved us! Although Malcolm X is physically absent from us, but his spirit remains huge and potent. As I often listen to some of his speeches and tapes, I am reminded African Americans still do not have the same rights as their European brothers and sisters. They do not have equal protection under the law of this land. This is what Malcolm X was advocating for. He wanted all of his brothers and sisters to partake in the advantages of full American citizenship. I remember hearing brother Malcolm X saying black folks should be exempted from paying any taxes because back in the 50's and 60's black folks were treated as second class citizens (still is). Unfortunately, melanated people pay more taxes to this day. They really need to change these tax codes and laws because if we are all American citizens, we should all reap the same benefits but we do not. These are the battles Malcolm X came against. We continue to come against lies with the truth. Thank you so much for your love and sacrifice.
MINISTER MALCOLM X Happy birthday to one of the Sancti-Fly Papas who died for justice and truth. It is kind of sad how we have so many men and women who genuinely wanted us as a group of people to be better off than they were and we got the nerve to be so laid back about it. Our elders did what they had to do to accomplish some form of liberation and freedom for us. Some folks don't have a clue. They don't give a damn. Thankfully, it is not all of us but I pray if you are one of those individuals who does not care, start caring. Brother Malcolm X died for you too! Some of us can collectively do more to help our communities but don't. Malcolm passionately cared about the plight of melanated people. He told so much truth, it cost him his life. They couldn't take all that "good trouble" Malcom X was stirring up. Malcolm X knew he was destined to mentally resurrect the life and future of black people.
