 Our interest is still resistance ✊🏿 ✊🏾! June has not ended yet. I am dedicating this second edition of Black Music Month again, to the current insurrection of liberation going on in light of the recent cries for justice. We want the liberty and justice that America wrote down on paper to come alive in black folks lives. If you enjoy listening to good music you can always find some of the best in our culture. Black Music Month is exactly what it states. It is designed to esteem black music and black culture. I could not get enough of that new Buddy black excellence song. Oh my goodness! I promise, I listen to that song like 50 billion times a day. As noted in the HuffPost, the inception for June to be selected as Black Music Month came from President Jimmy Carter. It was further pushed into legislation by music producer Kenny Gamble and his ex-wife Mrs. Dyana Williams. Dyana is known as the Godmother of Black Music Month as noted
by Ebony.

You're never gonna break our faith to win in the struggle for liberty and justice for all! Aretha Franklin wanted America to know, it is time to live in the truth you love to brag about and fight for the truth. Of course, America was not trying to listen back in 2006 when she made this song. You cannot deny, Aretha used her voice to sing about her experiences as a black female artist. It is ironic, that in this particular song, she is talking to Yahweh about what we are unfortunately, still fighting for today. It's the same beat, playing in the background of a different time. This is accepted on a state and federal level for police officers who are supposed to serve and protect all people, in all communities, to take innocent lives. Why? This is what Aretha was singing about. In my research for more liberation songs, I had to use her voice. Why are some police officers so quick to pull out their guns on black children, black men, and black women? Thank you Yahweh for the manifestation of change in legislation. Some police officers
will not pull out their guns on white kids or white people in the same manner they do with blacks. I am going to continue articulating this difference because it's plausible and very informative for those people who are benighted. I've seen it with my own eyes how much grace they give to those that look like them. You have to ponder why.

How can black people have peace when our liberties are being hijacked by pain that is tearing us down mentally? This is a form of mental illness. If you don't think not being given the chance to be seen as human beings, but a target, a thug or anything other than Yah's child hasn't affected the mental state of black people (especially black men) you are mistaken. The weight of white supremacy is too great a burden to bare. Institutionalized oppression authorized to continue, does affect a person's mental health. What if this issue were reversed. I hate to put it in this perspective but white people would be mad as hell if a bunch of black police officers controlled their cities. Let's not even mention if they were the majority in their cities. White folks would never tolerate black men who are charged with serving and protecting white communities continue to kill their men and boys without any repercussions. Just let that sink in. What do you think would happen? Those black officers would go straight to jail! I repeat, that black man would go straight to jail! The police unions would be in support of it and so would the politicians. It would be the right thing to do! Tell me why there is a big fat difference when white officers show no restraint with black folks? If a black cop was unwise to use an illegal choke hold one time on any white civilian, the way this European system was written and set up, it would have been the last and final time he ever did that. On the flip side we've seen this happen to black men like Eric Garner and now the murder of George Floyd. They both expressed to officers they could not breathe but was ignored. Please give attention to your local politicians. Those local judges and your district attorneys work for you! Their politics affect you! You have every right to demand they do right by you and your community if you see something wrong with their policies! Vote them out of office if you don't like their leadership!

The music and lyrics in this song is so beautiful to me. The residue of Jim Crow and the strongholds of white supremacy is definitely bigger than just black and white. This battle is for whites and black folks to fix. This problem is so much more deeper than just police brutality. It is about the lives of a group of people who are not given the same rights to have the pursuit of happiness; who are not permitted to breathe freely in their daily lives, in business or in their professions; in their communities without having to get in a boxing match over something that should come natural. It is about mass incarceration and this criminal justice system. Why are some of these injustices even allowed to exist? The purpose of giving two people with the same crime different sentences happens too often. It is no secret to those who can change it with a stroke of their pens. It is no secret to the black community either. This kind of white supremacy affects our families. I don't know why that judge hasn't been removed. Attorneys make the plea deals but the judges have to approve the deals. It is deeper than just black and white! They would rather lock them up, instead of educating American men and women in the black community. It's about not knowing all the white folks who take off their hoods (kkk) before they come to work with us, do business with us, or serve us in the medical and judicial sector. They serve in a lot of public service jobs and private too. They put their hoods back on so we don't know who they are. White folks don't ever have to worry about this kind of thing! If there were more Europeans incarcerated, they would find a way to help keep their families together, not break them apart. Why is this permissible to do to black people? We all have to go through test and trials in this world but to have the color of your skin add on more weight to your life, is not conducive to your humanity. No person or people are superior to any other. That is false hope!

We have all these wonderful men and women of every nationality who make up congress. I want to acknowledge there are some politicians who are proactive in fighting for equal rights for all people. There are also those who just do not care! Their apathy is boldy shown on the democratic and on the republican side. Oh, yes! There needs to be another party formed! Maybe we need to form our own. They never truly cared about any black agenda. If they did, black folks would not be in this predicament right now. This should have been fixed when Emmett Till was murdered! The republicans and democrats are guilty of letting it go on and on until the break of dawn, like a number one hit hip-hop song! How do they sleep when the rest of the world is hurting and crying for their freedoms? Shame on you all! I say vote them all out and start fresh! The crazy thing is, there is already a document that we are supposed to follow, to keep us all in check. It is called the constitution. Why aren't we following it? Why in 2020 do black people have to endure the exact same things Martin, Malcolm, Ali, and so many other influential voices spoke out against? Why are there major violations towards the infringement of our rights as a people? There should be a black agenda on every politician's plate in every state. America it is time, we are exhausted!

The struggle for black freedom and liberation in plenty-many nations continues on the menu. We are not giving up! We are just getting started! We refuse to keep this sickness living around for our kids and our grandbabies. No way, no how. As a society we can learn a lot from our children. They are pure. They do not see race as a bad thing. They may notice how other children look a little different from them but they do not see a problem with playing with each other unless they are told and taught that they are better, or it is wrong!! The year of 2020 will go down in the history books as being the most prolific protest all over the world, in all 50 states. It will say something like, young and old whites and black people stood side by side to fight for black liberation, sending a cogent message to the government to change their laws and write up new legislation to include black people's humanity in it. White supremacy has to go! Once upon a time maybe it had a comfortable place in America, not anymore. We are serving full time notice to let the world know, that kind of antediluvian thinking is over!

It is pass half-time, to the 10th power for America to restore what they have broken down. Reparations are past due! We want, we want, we want! We want the same rights promised to us by your constitution. We declare! There is a shift coming. Get ready to turn with the shift! I am thankful a rainbow full of concerned individuals are waking up. It's your turn to get into position with the right legislation to develop a more righteous American nation. You've got to give the people what they want. Righteousness exalts a nation. Your entire political careers will depend on it!

If you are professing to be a member of the Christian faith, or any religious deity as a European (calling you out) and are secretly or openly treating folks ungodly because of their skin color, you might want to check your biblical references. If we are all supposed to be brothers and sisters in the eyes of the creator, why are you so quiet about the injustices going on with your African American family members. Black folks historically and now, are being attacked spiritually with the spirit of white supremacy. Why are you all so quiet? Silence means you are okay with it. I do know there are those who are not silent but I am speaking to those who are. We need all warfare in place because these are spirits that must be cast down. I know Father Pfleger and Kirk Franklin are not the only ones who can use their spiritual platforms to aid in the battle for human rights, liberty and justice for black people. We need all faiths and all folks on board to not remain silent. Thank you!
