Sancti-Fly Movies in The Mix (Watch This)

Chicago filmmakers quite often, are extremely fertile as they are unquestionably giving birth to making their own opportunities in the film industry. Lawrence Lee Wallace is one of those rising directors and producers, born and raised in the city known as Chi-Town or Chicago. Producer and director Wallace has worked on a plethora of quality finesse films. He is making us all Chicago proud. Pieces of David is just one of his film productions. In this film, every lady wants a piece of Mr. David. You have to tune in and watch it to find out why. It is comical. I have a wealth of Sancti-Fly movies to overshare but I will give you a few to view for now. It’s the summer. Set aside some time to relax and release with these movies.

It’s like a jungle sometimes that it makes me wonder. I so wonder how we keep from going under in light of all the biases and racism still going on. It is severely and critically affecting black and brown lives within the criminal justice system. Oh yes, and you already know how strongly I feel about the film When They See Us. This is a must see film. In this film, young teenagers were wrongly convicted for a crime they did not do. By the grace of God, they were all released after years of serving time in jail thanks to DNA evidence. This film needs to be mandatory for all of our kids' education. I firmly believe it is imperative for those incarcerated to view this film. Knowledge is power! These beautiful exonerated male warriors endured indelible marks that we can never afford back to them. I am so happy they are living their lives in freedom now. They are changing the narrative for all, in the name of justice. When they see us, can we at least be given the benefit of the doubt? King Korey Wise, Kevin Richardson, Raymond Santana, Antron McCray and Yusef Salaam are winning as they are surrounded by love. 

Kalief Browder was pushed to the edge. He was trying not to lose it. He was really trying. Kalief endured something that removed his soul. It was sad! Those American individuals who allowed the criminalization of his innocence to rot are responsible in my opinion. What if you were accused of stealing something that seems so trivial like a backpack and was sent to Riker’s Island prison? What if you really didn’t do it? This is Kalief Browder’s story. This story is disturbing. This is a six part series. It is worth watching because there are lots of Kalief Browder Americans still fighting for their lives. Please watch it! 

I now understand why they branded Clarence Avant as The Black Godfather. He
truly is! After you view this film you will have no doubts of why. This brother is the apotheosis of brotherhood and power as an African American male. By his faith and by the grace of God, Clarence Avant had favor with the mob. Papa Clarence Avant is such a Sancti-Fly man. Avant worked meticulously in the background to pave the way for so many black folks who can honorably attest to what he has been in their lives; young and old. A lot of white men in the music and television industry respected Clarence and listened to him. They called on Avant to solve problems. Black entertainers also revered Mr. Avant. His legacy is and will be an unforgettable one. They say Mr. Avant didn’t really love you if he didn’t curse you out. 

​Black history is certainly a mystery when you have folks trying to hide it from you. The truth shall set you free with Tariq Nasheed’s series of Hidden Colors. Please try your best to watch them all. I believe there are five series as of now. I encourage you to watch it with your children and families. They don’t want you to know who you are because if you do, it all changes the entire dynamics of their systems. Systems that are designed to keep you ignorant and oppressed. How you think, how you educate yourself, and how you start to love yourself totally empowers you. 

The Empire In Africa is a film about all the inhumane things that was going on in Sierra Leone (West Africa) during a civil war they had going on. The poor was fighting for the wealth of their economic resources. I don’t know how I managed to watch it completely. It was very hard. A lot of the young kids were trained as killers because they had no choice. They had no human rights. They had to join the rebellion (gang) as babies. It is very violent yet so surreal. It showed a lot of hypocrisy as far as the United Nations giving aid to stop the international war. It took years for help. Watch this, please!

Another Lawrence Lee Wallace, Deep Productions Studios film is on the scene. I recently went to a screening for this film last week. I was jumping out of my seat in suspense. You have to check this out! I got a chance to meet the phenomenal cast and crew for The Little Girl In White (The Dark Hallways Anthology).
