YOU GOTTA BE F*CKIN KIDDING ME, RIGHT? You mean to tell me that this man by the name of Jeffrey Dahmer murdered and dismembered 17 men and young boys' bodies for over a decade! He could have been arrested and lots of lives could have been saved. How did Jefferey Dahmer get away with murder after murder for over a decade (1978-1991)? Unarmed black people can’t even drive to a stop sign, sleep in their own homes, or walk to the store without guns being drawn on them or perhaps even dying. Police officers use more force on melanated black people than any other group of people. However, Mr. Jeffrey Dahmer was able to carry skulls and body parts around. He killed at his mom's house, his grandmother's house and in his own cannibalistic apartment. No one noticed or suspected anything. Can you believe that? Wait, the black people that lived in Jeffrey Dahmer's apartment did call the police, but nothing happened. Folks did complain of the awful pungent smells, but nothing happen. As a matter of fact, in the Netflix documentary about Jeffrey Dahmer, a black woman by the name of Glenda Cleveland, which was played by the actress Niecy Nash, was ignored by the police when she called. There was a black woman who tried to save a 14-year-old victim of Jeffrey Dahmer, but the police officers saw Jeffery,
and looked the other way. Dahmer lied and said the boy was a 19-year-old man.
The officers allowed the young boy to go back into the hands of a serial killer. YOU GOTTA BE F*CKIN KIDDING ME, RIGHT? No! They saw the young boy half-naked, drugged up, and they still handed him over to Jeffrey Dahmer. The black women were pleading with the officers but as per usual, the voice of the melanated black women didn't matter. They did not BELIEVE the black women! This terrible stigma is still prevalent towards melanated people. If the women were European, Jeffrey Dahmer would have been arrested sooner. The police are trained correctly when it comes to white women.
Incidentally, if you haven’t heard, Netflix has produced a documentary about the life of Jeffrey Dahmer as a serial killer. A lot of people are boycotting the story because they feel like Netflix is capitalizing off of the victim’s pain. Why should the families have to relive the horror and heartbreaking moments over again? The same reason why so many other families have to relive it. Look at how we treat tragedy in our country! People get killed on videotape and we watch it, we share it, or we try to get followers and views by putting it on our social media. I concede, I am guilty of watching some of those police brutality video tapes, but I am trying my best to run away from it. How would you really feel if you were the mother of the young 17-year-old Laquan McDonald? How do you really think your life would be if Sandra Bland was part of your family tree? Exactly, we all would feel some kind of way, right? We have become so desensitized as a community and as a society when it comes to the sufferings of other people. Especially when it comes to black people! Jeffrey Dahmer practically got away with murder. There was a scene in the Netflix documentary where Dahmer went to jail for drugging a young boy that almost died. It's a true story! The judge gave
Jeffrey Dahmer a small amount of jail time and allowed him to keep his job. The judge saw Jeffrey Dahmer as his son or his nephew. No way was he going to let Dahmer mess up his young life with a felony. This is how a lot of European folks that happen to wear that black robe as judges adjudicate. They don't see black people the same way. They are conditioned by a system that has always favored them.
You know if that was a black man or any other melanated man with the label of "sex-offender" the judge would have given him the harshest punishment of jail time. Jeffrey Dahmer was registered as a sex-offender, but he managed to get little to no jail time. Oh yeah, Dahmer was also pulled over by the police during one of his killing episodes. The police officer was nice and calm. No guns were drawn on him, although he had dead bodies in the back seat of his car in big black garbage bags. They didn't even check his car! The police officer asked Jeffrey Dahmer about the black garbage bags, and they BELIEVED his story. They asked for his license but ran no check because he was a European man. They didn't want nothing to mess up his precious white life, so they let him go. If that was a black man with black garbage bags in his car, you already know how the story would end!
He wanted to be in control. Maybe because he always felt alone. Power and the word dominance was his middle name. Jeffrey Dahmer loved to dominate the men he selected as his prey. The history books state Jefferey Dahmer was a mentally sick (privileged) gay man. Dahmer was very proud of his serial killings. Dahmer carried the body parts of his victims around with him at times. He was sexually aroused by dead bodies. There were definitely red flags attached to his strange behavior so what happened? Dahmer was drunk and high all the time! Sure, maybe his parents might have played a role in his mental illness. How can you not know something is wrong with your child? Do you pay attention to your kids? Can you tell when something isn’t right, or off with your children? Are we all too busy? Well, maybe some of us need to slow down and take time out to see what is going on with our children. Thankfully, due to the escape of Tracy Edwards, Jeffrey Dahmer was finally caught, and many individual lives were saved.
