Kim Kardashian West used her celebrity influence to help push the narrative of forgiveness for a woman who committed a crime and was sentenced to life in prison for her non-violent drug offense. There were other angels working in the background who helped Kim. Alice Marie Johnson was freed by President Donald Trump on Wednesday June 6, 2018. She was confined for 21 years; bearing witness to the manifestation of mass incarceration. Ms. Johnson unequivocally paid her debt to society. She desires to help reform the criminal justice system, stating “It’s time to stop over-incarcerating your own citizens.”

Inspiration warfare came rushing through the core of my soul; knocking me out with positive energy when I heard Oprah Winfrey say, “I stand not only as ten thousand. I stand as ten thousand to the 10th power!” One of my girlfriends sent me a video about Oprah Winfrey sharing her love and light about her journey as a black woman. She articulated how she can never forget where she comes from in light of powerful reminders displayed in her home. Oprah shared how she never feels like she is alone, even if she is the only black woman at the table. The ancestors are with her! In the video she uses her voice to encourage other people of color to realize they are worthy; to always wear their crowns! Oprah consistently uses her influence as a powerful guidance to show and tell people of color and all people, they can do it too! It’s time for you to use your influence.
I always think about churches and places of worship when I watch the news. I wonder why all of the churches don’t come together and pray together. I’m sure there are some but we need more. If church folks are so anointed with God’s power of prayer, why do we have so much destruction on every corner where there is a church placed?
The church has a lot of influence over the people in their communities. There is almost a church on every corner in the city of Chicago; in most big cities. It is time for all the pastors and church members to come together and pray the guns violence and crime out of their communities. I believe it can be done if they all come together on one accord. There is no reason for the destruction to be so prevalent when you have all that spiritual power. As a mother or father you also have influence that you are not using. Please use it! There are a lot of retired teachers and instrumental people who can impact our young people. We have police officers and businesses who have the power to influence their communities in a positive way. Please use it! If you work in human resources use your power of influence righteously, not negatively. Kudos to all the men and women who exude the power of their influence mentoring young people, feeding the homeless, fighting for injustices and giving love to those who need it! We all have people who we can inspire and persuade in a purposeful way. It’s time for you to use your influence! I know you're thinking about ways of how to do it. Go ahead and do it!
