Shout out to all the parents who have outstanding young people dwelling and thriving as positive vibes in their communities, in their academics and towards their parents and elders. These are the kids that protect their grandparents. We have them. They check on their grandparents, despite their teenage or adult lives. These are the kids that are against bullying other kids. Not on their watch. These are the young people who will provide great leadership in our world. Hey, they are definitely out there. I will find these stories for us all to emulate. Stay on them! Yall be doing the most with your kids.
Shout out to all the organizations ran by women and men in our communities. I know a lot of melanated women ensuring that the future of young girls and ladies in their community have the leadership, vision, voice and confidence to pass on the positions of power to the next generation of young ladies and girls. Yes, we often hear a lot regarding the bad and the ugly news but there are some sistas (yeah, I said sistas), Sancti-Fly Women that are pouring out phenomenal love and guidance to these young ladies. They are successfully doing it! These are the stories I will highlight more and more. Maybe you can connect with some of these organizations for your children. Yall be doing the most in your mission to make a difference.
Shout out to all the angels on those jobs. Especially those who have the power and authority to sift through messy people and shut the entire situation down. A boss mama or papa. It's usually the women. When it is within your power or your right to do right by someone, you should do it. Playing around with other people's mental state or trying to hold their personal information against them isn't cool. It is very unethical. Watch out! Just because they had to share personal medical information with you, does not give you the right to blab about it to the entire office. I don't know how you're working in HR. Yall be doing the most to make sure your staff and clients are treated professionally well.
Shout out to all the men and women in the entertainment field. Especially in the film, television and production industry doing their thing righteously. What we see really can and does affect us and the young people in our community. There are people who turned down money because they wouldn't compromise their beliefs or their standards. These are the stories they won't tell you about. These actors and producers/directors opt to impact their communities with enlightening ways. David Leonard has allowed himself to be transparent within his craft as an actor and producer. Mr. Leonard has given us a more vibrant, up-close and personal look at how our communities address mental health and wellness by sharing his own story of his film "Scroll Food." This is something melanated folks really need in our communities. People are ashamed to talk about these issues because of how we handle them. Kudos to Mr. Leonard. Scroll Food is doing quite well. Yall be doing the most working hard behind the scenes and in front to be proud of the work you do, and you care about your community.
Shout out to all the God-sent people who are always fighting for those who can't fend for themselves. These people are naturally helping hands. There's a song that says brothers are going to work it out. Ooowee, they will. I adore them for it. We have some King-Papas in our midst. You're too busy being a Karen so your eyes not clean. You won't be able to see their greatness. Anyway, kudos to all the men sacrificing time to coach other people kids, to mentor and motivate our young men into great examples. I will not forget my Queen-Mamas. They are in the forecast of betterment. If their child's friends do not have, they will go out and buy it for the child. They will make sure the child has it too. If it is food, school supplies, shelter, whatever, they will intervene. They listen without judgement. I know these women are always in the background making stuff happen for the good of their people and all folks. They're very wise women. Very mature. These are the stories I am going to be sharing. Yall be doing the most, out there helping and serving people. OMG!
