We thank and praise our men (who win) for making ways out of every day to help lead our families in unity, the sacrifices they make as men, the flood of their unconditional love, and their support as our fathers. We affirm and testify that these King-Papas do matter. I wanted to provide another edition of fathers that often goes unnoticed and unmentioned. They are no different! They want the same things all men want. They want to be free to be men, to breathe, to exist, to raise a family in a community, and to be respected. This little guy belongs to this King-Papa and no one is going to touch or control him! I can hear the Sancti-Fly Mama in the background cheering him on. I totally understand. We have been living in a time where our sons and our men are targets. We have to take every measure to protect them. This man loves his son just like you love your son. The joy the little boy has is the joy little black boys should have!

They train us in our worth. Sometimes if our dads are not present or deceased, God places other family men or friends in our lives to filll in the gap. This father is letting his little girl know her black is beautiful. No one can tell us that we are not because our King-Papas strategically planted the seed. This is the sweetest thing, imperative for our kids. Affirm it, decree it over your kids lives. If you haven't been doing it, start today. Free yourself from anything less than.

How do you feel when you look at this King-Papa immersed in the blessings of being this little guys papa? Peek the kiss on the cheeks! How deliciously sweet is that! He loves his dad's kisses. What is it that you see that doesn't show how this man wants to be the best dad for his little son that you'd want for yours? I see love. I see protection. I see a black man who wants to keep his baby boy smiling and keep oppression at a far distance. I don't see fear. I don't see a threat. Why can't you see that?

A King-Papa man is on a mission with his baby girl who rocks his world. He can't go nowhere without her. Our dads spend lots of time with us. I just wanted to make a big deal and great fuss about it.They are inseparable.

He loves his little girl to KIng-Papa pieces. Who cares about the morning baby breath. Our dads just wanna to do their best to prepare us for the world ahead. Even when we are adults, they still do not want to let go. Sheltering has it place but then you have to cut the cord and allow your kids to go forward in life. No worries. You've trained us up right! Kudos to all the Sancti-Fly Dads out there.

She is no doubt, a daddy's girl! The love attack in his eyes when he looks at his baby girl means the world to me! This is an image the world needs to see. I'll expose and exploit it for free-99. It also helps other men strive for this same vibe. There are black men out here in this big old world who really do love their kids.They matter. I know "when they see us" the narrative always seems to change. But it's okay because we already know our dads are doing the best that they can; exceedingly and abundantly above and beyond the call of fatherhood.

Can we say twins? Who do you think is going win this year in our annual father-daughter stare down? I bet on lil mama! The only target this papa star has is the target of love for his baby girl. That face is saying, I wish a blank...blank...blank
blankety... blank would! We can always talk to our dads about things. They are problem solvers but sometimes we just want our dads to listen and they do.  Sometimes we can talk to our dads more than our moms.

His wife and kids are severely blessed by a King-Papa that never quits. Him and his wife are expanding their bloodline to the number 5. Yes, we do a lot of family activities.

I just thought I would let you know...

Daddy Yankee was calling me "gasolina mami" in front of his entire crew. He was telling me to come give him a hug. I was trying my best to ignore him; being resistant but Daddy was persistent. I thought it was cool so I did give him a hug. Mr. Yankee did not want to let me go. You know he is married, right? I pleaded with him to let me go! He did not comply! He said no mami, no! He started pulling my hair and trying to get me to take pictures with him. As Sancti-Fly as I am, I was a little embarrassed because I was trying to do my job as a production assistant working on the Barrio Fino album at the time. Just to let you know.

Look at those eyes! Ian Somerhalder played the character of Damon on the Vampire Diaries. I am heartbroken to know they took the show off the air. All I could say is Lord, please have mercy on me when I saw Damon on the Vampire Diaries. I always used to tell him to bite me in my mind! I think Ian was a little bothered by me talking to Mr. Marlarkey in light of them both being on the show and signing personalized posters for me. I ran into both of them at the same event. Ian detained me in a corner and stared in my face. I loved it! No, I wasn't trying hard to get away at all. Sorry, I am just letting you know! Why wasn't you there with yo' man?

Lance Gross is a man who tries to come across really sneaky. I had to let him know that I do NOT mix business with pleasure. I am just not that kind of lady.  He thought all women did. I assured him we all do NOT! We hosted a show together one evening. He wanted me to go home with him. I could not believe it. He looks kind of innocent but he is not. I am just letting you know. 

Michael Ealy is such a character. Please don't let his baby blue eyes lure you into wrong. I was at a juice bar ordering my juice and he came in. He was in the car with a lady who appeared to be his significant other. This did not stop him from trying to get my name and number. I asked him why he didn't bring his lady friend in with him. He got quiet. I surmise he didn't think I noticed, but I did! He just smiled. His smile didn't work on me. I had to turn him down. I am just letting you know. You were just a few seconds away in his car doing this incident. You see how they are? SMH!

You know Idris Elba has a girlfriend? This brother saw me out at a private event. Yes, lots of famous folks were in the building. If it is not Don Omar I am not impressed. Anyway, why did Idris ask me to touch his chest. I was like are you serious! He was so serious! He was like come on! Touch it! Touch it! He had girls all over him but I wasn't one of them. He really needs to concentrate on his girlfriend. It was kind of embarrassing for the both of them. I don't know if he had too much to drink of if he is just naturally weird. I am just letting you know.

Gary Dourdan is the number one reason why they say if you are working in the entertainment field, make sure you are spiritually rooted and grounded in God. You have to be strong! You must have a prayer life! I would strongly urge you to keep in contact with those who can hold you accountable. There is so much temptation trying to rule you. You must have a NO...NO...NO spirit! Especially when you know it is wrong to do or against everything you stand for and believe in. I can't even mention in detail the request of this brother towards me. I am just letting you know that I told him NO!

​Boris Kodjoe always has women stalking him. I was working at an awards show after party. I was on my way home. Boris was bored and he was trying to get me to go away to another party with him. I could not believe it. He is lucky that he is married. I would have took him up on his offer but I could not do it. I was totally shocked not to see him with his wife. I told him he needed to go home to his wife. I bet you can smell all kind of perfume on him because he had a variety of women on him. I am just letting you know.

Djimon Hounson may not be with Kimora anymore but he was certainly with everyone else. He must have got it twisted! My girlfriend is an actress and a top model in the industry. She had a photo shoot she asked me to accompany her to and Djimon was there with his crew. Women were lined up to get hugs from him since he had his shirt off. There was a long line. He noticed me standing to the side not paying him any attention. He asked me if I wanted a hug. I said sure. When I got close to him he didn't want to let me go. It did feel good though. Then he had the nerve to whisper sweet nothings in my ear...boy bye!  I am just letting you know! Don't let his looks fool you!

Yes, it all ends with Don Omar. I am crazy about him! He thinks that I am going to keep quiet. I don't think that I will! I am just letting you know.


This all happened in my mind, just to let all of you know! Hey it's Women History Month and International Women's Day. A woman can dream...right? :0)

I had to pull out my “Wakanda Forever” files to give homage to Antron McCray, Kevin Richardson, Korey Wise, Raymond Santana, and Yusef Salaam. These five brown and black men are known as the Exonerated 5. Their true story made history! I call them beautiful black warriors. In April of 1989 they were all young teen boys of color living their lives as normal kids. There was a woman who was gruesomely beaten and raped in Central Park. Central Park was a park in New York where young people hung out at. A group of young people of color were beating up individuals and attacking them in Central Park the night of the crime. Yusef, Raymond, Korey, Antron, and Kevin were present in the park on the night of the crime but state they had no part in any of the crimes at Central Park. They were all charged with the crime of the lady renown as the Central Park Jogger (Trisha Meili). Their lives instantly changed in the month of April, 1989.

The Exonerated 5 each spent a collective amount of years in prison, ranging from 5-15 years. King Korey Wise received the most time. He was incarcerated for 12 years. The others served about 5 to 6 years. Each one of the boys grew into young men while they were imprisoned. The Exonerated 5 men had a list of combined convictions. They were charged with rape, riot, assault, sexual abuse, attempted murder, sodomy and robbery. The Innocence Project notes how DNA evidence along with assistance from them, helped to overturn their convictions. The crucial piece of proof came from a man by the name of Matias Reyes. Korey Wise met Reyes in prison. Let's say divine intervention. Reyes told Korey Wise his truth of committing the actual crime. Matias Reyes shared his truth with the Manhattan District Attorney. In December of 2002, the Exonerated 5 were all exonerated from the crimes forced on them. 

These unbreakable spirits spent years of their lives in prison for a crime they did not do. The beautiful thing is, God’s power was triumphant in their lives. How many times have we’ve gone through these episodes of wrongful convictions? Too much with black and brown folks! The Exonerated 5 men are living miracles. The top row of the picture above shows the actors who played the Exonerated 5 in Ava DuVernay film “When They See Us” as adult men: Jharrel Jerome, Chris Chalk, Justine Cunningham, Freddy Miyares and Jovan Adepo. The second row of pictures represent the young teen boys who played the vindicated 5 men as young boys: Jharrel Jerome, Ethan Herisse, Asante Blackk, Marquis Rodriguez and Caleel Harris. The third row captures the actual pictures of the Exonerated 5 as boys when they were charged of the crime. The last and final 4th row is the Exonerated 5: Korey, Yusef, Kevin, Raymond and Antron, in that order. It was a long time coming for these men but a change came! They did not take any plea deals. None of the men confessed to the crime because they were all innocent. The entire cast did an amazing job. They are brothers for life!

An ex cathedra of charming dragonflies made their presence known at the 2019 BET awards. Kevin, Korey, Yusef, Raymond, and Antron were all present as the crowd of black excellence drowned them in love. Dragonflies represent change, transformation, and adaptability. These men are definitely dragonflies. The lives of these five men have sparked an insurrection of knowledge and power. Power to the people to know their constitutional rights and the power of unity. Power to change legislation in the criminal justice system. Young men of color are aware of their rights in light of the Exonerated 5 story. The legal system is changing; exponentially driven by the love and light of the people in nations all around the world. You can't stop it! It is time to get on board.

When there is a calling on your life, nothing can stop or block that calling. Even those who are eating and drinking wickedness knows this. It is ordained by God for you to survive. It’s only by the grace of God all the adornment and inspiration the Exonerated 5 are receiving is well deserved. I don’t know these brothers but I have nothing but love and respect for the Exonerated 5 men. They are always in my thoughts and prayers like most black men I know or connected to. This entire moment is historic. The true stories of Antron, Kevin, Yusef, Raymond, and King Korey are positively affecting the criminal justice system for black and brown lives. These five men are heroes of elegance. They are the epitome of strength. God uses ordinary people like you and me to help fight the battles of others. The Exonerated 5 are allowed to sleep peacefully at night as angels are in position for their lives. Their downfall turned out to be the greatest victory of their lives. Korey Wise wasn't even on the NYPD list to be interrogated by the police. He only went to the precinct to support his friend. He ended up spending the most time in jail. He was the blessing that freed them all. Won’t he do it? Yes he will. I am thankful for all the awareness the Exonerated 5 have permeated in our atmosphere. It is imperative for folks to know what men of color go through all the time. 

There is a woman who posted a vital YouTube comment on Angie Stone song "Brotha." She made a statement that I believe all African American mothers and women of color can agree with. Her comment relates passionately to their boys and the men in their family. Her name is Daisy Samuel. Her comment is the second comment. Please check it out.

Ava DuVernay and others like you have shown a proven track record of letting the world know African American stories do matter. This is why we have to tell
our stories. We have to always change the narrative in light of information being implicitly bias against us and downright stolen history from us. Always! No one else is going to do it but us! There should always be inclusion. One group of people can’t represent everything for everybody. People of color do have their own agendas dealing with economics, policy, advertisement, and journalism.
Our agendas have to have our DNA applied to it. How is that making America great again if this is not allowed? It is not! We unfortunately have to be able to tell and share our own passionate narratives, perspectives, and experience completely, on everything concerning colored folks, as my Lula (granny) would say. These 5 men were able to share their truth despite lies. "No lie can live forever." 

Dreams and visions are not forgotten. It might be delayed. Sometimes patience has to have its perfect way for the change. As children of God; as men and as fathers, may you no longer be shattered in bondage. You are brave men who happen to be King-Papa fathers. Quite frankly you also matter! Although you may have pieces of brokenness creeping in and out of your life, it’s going to be alright. This year I can’t stop and will not cease thinking about the Exonerated 5; honoring them as much as possible, in my own way. It is extremely important to give a deep condition of attention to the Exonerated 5 in light of so many other damaged men and American fathers experiencing some of the exact injustices the Exonerated 5 overcame. I dedicate this 2019 Father’s Day to them and to all the men who unfortunately are absent from their children and families.

There is nothing too hard for God to fix or work out for you and your situation, whatever it may be! As a father you know it! You acknowledge it! As you look back over your life, you understand and recognize your faith and hope allowed you not to be consumed by your circumstances. Thanks for not giving up. Do not give up! Lots of angels are praying for you! As men your family need you. They are always praying for you. Antron, Kevin, Korey, Raymond and Yusef may have scars for the rest of their lives but they are taking their lives back day by day. They are surrounded by so much love and light. Light kills darkness. 

This Father's Day hype is dynamite! We surely do love our fathers! Yes we do! We appreciate all that they do. The seen and unseen things. All the men who hearts are still glowing in the dark of injustice, I wish you hope, love, and light to kill the darkness. I pray those of you who don’t know how to be dads will crave to learn how to be better fathers. I thank all the men who sharpen the iron of other men and mentor kids. I know you are out there. When a little girl has a dad like you who shows her how valuable she is, she will attract good men as a woman. She will know how to weed out the bad seeds. In this very moment, I realize there are men who do not make a pledge to be their daughter's best example for whatever their reasons are. I know that. I have a choice to focus on those men who are doing it. Incidentally, there are men who are doing it. They live to be the best dad and standard for their little girls. I want to encourage all the dads that are being the best fathers in their daughters' lives to continue doing that. I see you! I witnessed you! I appreciate you!

Fathers are the head of everything. Not just a household. Everything goes through the man first if its done right. If the head has left his responsibilities or abandoned the family, the structure of the family breaks down. The father is such a crucial part of the family dynamic. So, when your children look at you, they know you are not perfect but they are looking to you for transparency. Your actions matter. You are the example they seek. You are the man of the hour. You are their broken piece that need to help them be healed. 

One thing about a man, especially a man who happens to be a father. He always has a woman or women in his family who are always praying for him. His wife, his daughters, his sisters and all the women in his life guard him in prayer. Fathers are adored and protected. There is blissful hype for Father's Day too, not just Mother's Day! We love our dads. We need our dads so we cover their beautiful minds at all times. We know what they are up against in this world.

Brother, cousin, uncle, friend, please stop living in your past. Okay, your dad was a lame. He missed an opportunity to be the father you desired. He treated you like crap. He was never around. He gave you none of his time. You have the right to change the trajectory of your bloodline. You are not your father. You are your own man. Fight that generational curse. Don't be like him. Yucky! You have the power to decide what KING you are going to be. Only you can define and make it happen. Go on now. Make it happen! Fatherly love is waiting to look exceptionally well on you, brother. Be better and do it better. I believe in you! Your kids do too! Um...waiting! Go on now!

Yes, black fathers are everywhere! Can I please get a big fat amen in the tenors, sopranos, and alto section of this choir! Despite what you see on the news nightly, there are good black men who are actual black fathers! They love their kids and take care of them just like other fathers, despite being born with the pigment of their skin. No matter what they go through they are conquerors. 

Fathers are positive crown wearing protectors who become our heroes instantly.  We love asking our dads to "please open this" or to help us out with something. We brag on our dads. "Girl my dad taking me out" and "Man, my old man got me this." We know how important it is to always make our dads feel needed. We really do need them, like always. That will never die! They are the King-Papa problem solvers for the entire house. They are the ones we run to when our moms are getting on our nerves and thinking irrationally. Our dads are strong and calm. They make a real difference. They let us have our way at times just because we are their sons and daughters. Our dad's love always works in our favor. You are a father but you are the REAL super hero in your child's life. 

This is why we always tend to talk things over with our dads no matter how old we get. We know they have a bit more experience on the issues of life. We want to get their guidance on everything. If we are married we do talk to our husbands but we will also call our dads at times. We appreciate and love our fathers for their wisdom and their protective comfort they give. You are appreciated!

Good men who are fathers teach and train their kids to be the best they can be. Some dads even encourage their children to pray and love God. Hate is left out of their message. Positive energy is the only antidote they promote. There is a lot of pain in this world. Someone hurt someone=pain. Good dads don't have time to focus on hate. There aim is preparing their kids for even better legacies. Negative energy like hating others is too much of a burden. 

To all the men and women who have lost their fathers. Your dad is absolutely your guardian angel. At least one of them. I believe we have a host of angels awaiting our command. Your fathers are not forgotten. They will always represent the love, the values, and the strength you have known. Their spirit lives on in you and your kids. Father's Day is every day. Tradition tells us we should celebrate it on a certain day and month but you don't have to follow that. Your love for your dad is a daily thing. 

You can't legislate a heart. Only the almighty God can do that. What you can do is begin to try being in the lives of your children or child right now. It is never too late to start over. You deserve another chance; a second chance to try to be the best dad you can be to your kids. They miss you. They need you. They love you. You are the glue to helping them be the best men and women they can become. Your presence as a dad is instrumental in their development as positive adults. Kill your pride and please try to be a better dad. Please take the first step into betterment. It is time, brother! 

This is Malcolm X with his two little girls. As busy as he was he took time out to be with his girls. Family was important to Malcolm X. He understood his purpose as a leader and man. Forget about all the material things and spend some time with your children. When was the last time you sat down and talked to them? They'd love to have some of your time. Free up some time! Time is everything. Memories with the best dad ever is all that matters! 

To your child no one can say anything bad about you. Even if it may be true, they better not say anything about you! Do you know that to your young kids and grown kids, you are THE BEST DAD EVER? You are that sweet part of their history and DNA they connect with daily. Even when we are mad at our dads the unconditional love they smothered us in comes right back on us to love and forgive them unconditionally. You are just the best ever dad! Let that sink in. Keep on being amazing King-Papa Fathers! You're just the BEST! Your time with us, your corny jokes, your conversations and your manhood. You are the best!

Don't believe the hype about us celebrating our fathers less than we do our mothers. That is simply not true! I believe sometimes propaganda tries to change the narrative. Some folks may have issues with their dads but that does not mean they don't love them. I keep telling you how important fathers are. Children crave for their dads. Healing and time has to take place for the issues they have. Our dads are loved, adored and cared for more than you know.

What do you see when you look at this father and son? I see a man praying for his son against all the fears he has for him as a little boy. Praying that his son is blessed coming in and going out. Praying that good character and integrity is present in his manhood. Praying God's will, plan, purpose, and destiny is done in his life. Praying for freedom against bondage and for his son to have the best in life. Praying that his son is surrounded by God's light and love. Men who are fathers want the same thing for their kids that you want for yours, regardless if the pigment of skin is different. They all want the same thing. To be able to be men, fathers; wanting the best for their kids. 

Welcome to all the Father's Day gifts for all the men we love. We certainly did not forget to give our dads the best. I will start off by presenting the Exonerated 5 Brotherhood shirt. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. is absolutely one of my favorite men in the world! He is the apotheosis of a Sancti-Fly Papa Star who embodied the moral character of an American black man even when America did not. When I look back over my life I am explicitly appreciative of all the roadblocks he helped to expose for the betterment of myself and other folks who were born as God’s child. You really have no choice being born in the skin color you are born with. It appears to me we are in a strange land when we are continuously fighting for the exact same things in 2019 that Dr. King labored for during the love and light he shared while living. Lord knows Dr. King was instrumental in making enormous progress for civil rights, human rights, and that good old fashion equality we still thirst for. Collectively, we have all benefited from his righteousness that exalted the United States of America and other nations. His dream lives on!

Please be boldly encouraged and less passive when it comes to anything that is unjust which directly or indirectly affects you, your family, and your community. You have every right to get involved in public policy. So many women have ran for office and won during this era. You can do it too! Just because laws are enacted does not mean it is just. History already showed us that truth!

One of the very passions we adore about Dr. King is how he loved and served others. He was not a perfect man. No one is. You can't deny he gave his life functioning as a champion for others. He has shown and produced one of the greatest strengths that a lot of folks fall short of on a daily basis. What is in your heart, mind, and thoughts? Love was on his mind at all times!

"Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere." How true is this statement during these times?

Some of us profess to be followers of Christ but will not SPEAK UP on any social, economic or political issues when you know it is wrong. You turn your head away from inhumanity, injustice, and racism when you could use your voice and privilege to make things right. That little black boy from Atlanta didn't. Dr. King looked those spirits in the face and gave them all some righteousness. He was bold as a lion.

This is the gospel truth! Dr. King knew he could not sit around and wait for the oppressor to give him what was legally his as an American citizen, who just happen to be born a black man. He demanded it!

We are living in such dark times right now! Dr. King lived through some of those dark times. He didn't hate no one. He may have had every right to do so but he did not! He had a power that some were baffled about and others personified  that same power. Hate cannot drive out hate. You need love to do that! This is exactly what Dr. King did successfully.

The time is always right to do what is right, not what is easy. Dr. King had superlative character. We can all learn something from Dr. King.

Dr. King certainly was not shy about calling out or speaking against white supremacy. I believe folks love to be safe with certain words and speeches concerning Dr. King but they know he was radical in his nonviolent movement.

This is power! Dr. King refused to hate those who were doing all the oppression and overt wickedness to him and those souls he was fighting for. There is not a lot of us who can exercise this kind of tolerance.

What are you doing for others? Do you think your life is only about you? I can answer that, no. It is not. Dr. King was a man every child can look up to.

When black folks were told they were not human beings but only 3/5 of a person this residual law leaked down through history and they were not seen as beautiful, worthy, human or God's child. I don't understand how those who have been held to the highest form of beauty, worthiness, and humanness all of their lives, can ever feel some kind of way about black people lifting up themselves and their culture.

You will make your life more purposeful and that void you have in your heart will be satisfied by a refined quality as you help fight for the rights of equality in every aspect, on every street and in every nation. Dr. King was born to fight for others.

Exactly, keep on moving. Keep on loving. Keep on being positive! Keep on building! Keep on supporting! Keep on dreaming!

Kudos to Ms. Sarah Lee and the Southeast Asian communities. Keep on fighting!

God bless the man who lived life on purpose and in his purpose so that all folks (especially black folks) would have an opportunity to the pie of purpose!

Yes, Dr. King got to the ROOT of the problem. Yes, he made folks feel uncomfortable and think twice about their decisions. I am so glad he did what he did.

​Will Adams is on his way to more amazing grace. Adams is an esoteric Sancti-Fly independent film maker who keeps his craft relevant by going to film festivals and networking. The lesson to this story is, never be afraid to act on the risk you should take. Do not dismiss the risk. Mr. Adams was a fan of the show 26 N. Halsted. Adams reached out to the host through social media and landed an interview. Yes, just, like, that! As you listen to the interview it will encourage you to do what you are purposed to do. It is becoming more accessible to reach out to those folks who can help you; who are assigned to your life.

Issa Rae, Chance the Rapper, and Rihanna all took a chance on making their dreams a reality. Issa and Rihanna were both popular on YouTube. Chance the Rapper used his ingenuity by selling his music without a label successfully. Will Adams is a Sancti-Fly Papa who was featured on 26 N. Halsted recently and interviewed by the host, George Blaise.  As an independent film maker, Mr. Adams has been highlighted in magazines. He has worked with well-known actors and actress on some of his projects. Adams has built his brand name and he continues to keep rising to the top in his dominant abilities.

Can you guess what show I want to be on one day? Too slow! It’s Black Girls Rock. I LOVE the show. One day I will be on that show! My mother always told me if I don’t know something, ask! Do you remember when you were a child in elementary school and your teacher always encouraged you to try your best to participate in class? No question was never a dumb question because we all learn from each other. You never know where your good instincts may take you if you bless yourself forward and take chances. If you are trying to build your audience and popularize your brand name, I totally understand. If Mr. Adams did not take the initiative to reach out to Mr. Blaise he would not have gotten the interview to be on the show. Get out and make some moves! Position yourself to be found and seen.

There are so many magnificent reasons why Dr. Martin Luther King’s life and legacy is celebrated with an amative stimulus of strength throughout the world. How can you not love a man who used passive resistance coupled with love to fight for the human rights of all people, especially black people? If the United States constitution was not enforced for all Americans, how can you expect those Americans to pledge their allegiance when they had none?

Dr. King affirmed, “All we say to America is, Be true to what you said on paper.” Dr. King was uniquely endowed with a stentorian voice leaking in fearlessness to remind the United States of America about the laws they enacted; their 'illegal injunctions' is what Dr. King called it. The 1st Amendment of the United States Constitution blatantly contradicted itself when it came to the lives of African or
black American citizens. African Americans were not able to assemble together peacefully to protest against the sweltering hate thrusted upon them. To refute the ugliness of America even further, black Americans did not have equal access nor protection under the laws; as written in the 14th Amendment for all American citizens to have. The federal government undeniably legitimized the injustices that were done to black Americans during their fierce movement of freedom and justice. Black folks, as well as activist, (black and white) were murdered in their homes and churches. Black people were attacked by the police and their dogs. They were bullied, terrorized, and water hosed by firemen. Dr. King’s home was also bombed. All of this immorality was performed on black folks because they wanted to have the meticulous rights of their freedoms like the rest of the (white) Americans. Disgraceful and appalling was the face of America. Black people armed themselves with the greatest dignity and self-respect as they fought for their freedoms; as witnessed in history.

During the fruitful 1955-1956 Montgomery Bus Boycott, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. decided to take a ride for freedom. I am so pleased he did. This is another great reason why we love his motivation. Martin's anointed presence in the civil rights movement helped to desegregate the city buses in Montgomery Alabama. Black Americans could finally ride the buses with white Americans. In regards to equal treatment, black Americans were not granted equality on bus rides before King stepped on the leadership scene. God used Dr. King to powerfully equalize the situation. Dr. King aggressively armed himself in the awareness of racism being the way of life for the majority of white people who lived in the south. The flavor in the south was white supremacy. The mood and the tone unfortunately has not been fully altered for some who desire to keep white supremacy alive today. Dr. King believed freedom belonged to black people who were Americans. He took a stand for liberation by applying his non-violent movement; teeming with peaceful protest. Martin King and other peaceful protesters were consistently arrested for organizing peacefully (marches, sit-ins). They too were black American citizens. Although the law stated American citizens had the right to protest peacefully, it was not applied towards black people. Dr. King proved countless times that wickedness will always bow down to righteousness.

In July of 1966 Dr. Martin Luther King’s footsteps crossed over into the City of Chicago to bring peace and justice to segregated public accommodations for the open and fair housing issues. Dr. King stated that Chicago was one of the most hostile and hateful cities. His plan was to do what he did well. He wanted to bring the evil out into the open. He labeled Chicago the city of shame. As I watch the history of Dr. King; his documentaries and his speeches, I am not too surprised by the actions of others. Sometimes I've often wondered if the people who were caught in between harvesting the pain and humiliation towards black people ever realized how completely foolish they would someday look (for years) as whites were bravely filmed illustrating how stiff their necks were. It was hard for them to accept people that were different from them. The heritage of embarrassment has continued for some who show no shame. 

Dr. King had superlative logic and love. The yokes of terrorism, discrimination or segregation could not stop him. No surge of racism could stop black folks in their movement for freedom and justice from turning around. Black folks kept on going despite the heavy burdens of opposition and challenges staring them in the face daily. Black families wanted their emancipation by any means necessary. Martin thrived continuously. He not only marched, he negotiated the best deals for black folks. Dr. King accomplished what he was purposed to do! King forced America to confront their unhealthy issues they had politically, socially, and economically with African Americans. He raised his voice and raised the consciousness at a national level.

In April of 1968 the man who was full of faith, love, and goodwill towards all men was killed; assassinated. He could not be broken so I surmise killing him was the only way they thought they could stop him. Fortuitously, Dr. King spirit of service, legacy of love, freedom, and justice lives on, stronger than ever. Dr. King brought deliverance from the plantation to rock an unbalanced nation with the promised liberty and justice for all. This is why we will never forget the sacrifices of his light (love). We are far from the Promised Land. Times are different. At times it feels  the same. Dr. King did bring monumental changes in racial equality for all men. King insured voting rights and human rights for men to be treated as men.

Paternal bonds of charm are wrapped around our arms; in our hearts, like love-stained memories from our fathers. Fathers are crown wearing protectors if they’re pursuing it right. When they were born as boys and groomed as men, they were tempted from the very beginning to walk in God’s spirit and lead as the head of the family. I understand there are quite a few households that have no fatherly season; lacking the flavor of fatherly wisdom and stability. Your presence as a dad and man is like a thirst others quench for. On June 17, 2018 we express our appreciation to all of our fathers for doing what they are purposed to do; being a father, a King-Papa!

Oh no our dads are not perfect. Neither are you! Ordinary is what they are as fathers but it is how they are with their children that makes the difference. The love of their first born son or little girl made them a hero. They fell in love with part of the miracle they helped to create. Thank you to all the fathers who do not allow their love-story for their children to end.

To a child who loves his/her dad, no one is better than their dad. Let’s just face it! You are the world to your children. Those men who never gave fatherhood a chance, in light of having children and not being in their life don’t know what they are missing. You are like bits and pieces of everything to your child. They need you! Thank you to all the men who understand how important they are to their kids.

Yes, I concur. Grandfathers are the bonds of perfection that keep a father’s bloodline accountable, rich and righteous. The history they share coupled with the knowledge of their life experiences makes fatherhood better. They also spoil their grand kids. They are a rare jewel in some communities and more fluent in others. They are indeed a blessing to have around! Thank you to all the Sancti-Fly Grandpas.

I don’t care if your children are educated with multiple degrees, speak 7 languages, or the President of a nation. If you raise them right, your children will always go to you for guidance and look up to you. All those other things do not matter. You do! Thank you to all the fathers who understand that.

Calling on all men! The desire to have you in a young boy’s life when he has not tasted the love of fatherhood is detrimental to his development as a young man turning into a grown adult. So many of our young people understand the seeds of violence instead of brotherly love. There are women who think they can raise a boy to be men but they truly cannot. Some try to do their best with what they have. We need so many mentors to take their place and to step up to water the minds of these precious seeds with positivity. I am thankful for all the men; especially Victory Apostolic Church for mentoring so many youths in the community and young men. They have to be taught to love others and respect the life of other human beings; authorities and parents. Iron does sharpen iron. It seems like there is some kind of negative force in their atmosphere. Thank you to all the men who mentor and who play the role of a father to so many kids in need! 

Thank you to all the men and fathers who understand why they need to implement this type of behavior in their lives. Showing love to the mother of your child or children speaks volumes towards the emotional development of your daughter. It is great for kids to see mommy and daddy showing love to each other. If you are not with the woman please show her some respect as well. I understand it may be challenging in light of her being a hot mess at times but please show her some respect. The focus is not on what she has done. It is up to you to do your part of the courtesy.

This moment of expression is rated high in daddy preciousness with a twist of blissfulness. Do you remember that time when you looked into your daughter’s eyes and wanted to be a better man and do better in all areas of your life? You wanted her to have a good life! You wanted the world to be safer with more love than hate for her to live in. Thank you to all the fathers who are encouraged to live their best lives, on and on until infinity. I think all men should have at least one little girl to rock their world.

Thank you for being your children’s vision of sacrifice; their push for strength; their rhythm to keep overcoming; the unconditional love you openly show them poetically. You are a remarkable dad! You are indeed, LOVED!

​King-Papa Dads wear the crown of protection because everyone in their household looks to the father for provision and safety; the back-up plan of defense! Thank you for always having your children backs. There is no way King-Papa Dads would allow their little girls or boys to be in the hands of an abuser (physically or sexually). They are equally concerned about where their children are even if they are not with their mother. Thank you for showing your young children and grown adults how much you believe in them. When King-Papa Dads have your back, nothing else can stand against you. His love and support for you is like an army of folks holding you up. As your kids grow in grace and maturity they will also have your backs as well. They learned from the best dads ever!

I was talking to a woman who shared with me how her child's friends have no fathers in their home. Her daughter (6 years old) shared it with the mother. She said she feels so sad for her friends at school because she has a dad that loves her and they don't. To your child you are the one who they crave the love, attention and discipline from. Some kids don't have that. Don’t hold back. Give it to them. There is no one like you in their eyes. Go ahead and stick your chest out because your love is KING! Thank you!
 

Thank you to all the dads who welcome us with open arms when our moms were having their moments (LOL). Our dads are so laid back and so cool. What would we have done if you were not in the house at times with us!

We love our dads so much! We always cover them with our prayers. We also learned how to pray with our dads and grandfathers. Thank you to all the dads who are cool enough to understand they need God in their life.

The role a father plays is paramount to everything a child sees, hears, believes and how their mind works; how they think about themselves. Thank you to all the fathers who makes it his goal to maintain a healthy positive family. 

I had to throw a little humor in this. No matter what issues your children inherited from YOU, they are always going to be your children. Sometimes when we are children and then we have kids we understand what our parents were talking about; what they went through with us. Thankfully, you will never give up on your kids. It's only a test!

In a few more days we will be giving praise to all of the Sancti-Fly Papas on Father’s Day. Fathers represent the aegis of the family if they commit to doing it correctly. If it wasn’t for men who are fathers, all of our children would be empty and lost. Some of our scholar babies are lacking fatherly guidance but not all of them. God said that a man was the head for a reason. Fathers are leaders who teach by example. They are men who pray and love unconditionally. They are the number one protectors and providers. We need them so make sure you celebrate the men and fathers in your life and get them some nice gifts along with your quality time.

It doesn't even matter if the two of you are no longer together. It is time for you as a man to grow all the way up from adult male into a man. Your daughter needs you! It is not only about you. As a man you are answerable to how you treat all women, including your ex, your wife or significant other. Treat your wife/woman right because your daughter is watching and observing you. Do you want a man to treat your daughter how you treat women? If the answer is yes then you are good. If not, think about it and make some changes. Reaping and sowing can come in many different forms and ways. 

​That critical thinking piece of advice is a father’s motivation and supervision he gives to his children. There is nothing like a man who is a father, telling his son or his daughter how awesome they are or how much they believe in them; their dreams their ambition. As men and fathers your words and direction is imperative to your child’s development as they grow in their purpose. They will always need your support.

If you are 18 and a male who has a curfew because your dad said to be in at a certain time, you have an amazing, loving father. You might not understand it now but you will when you have kids. They are prayer warriors! Fathers know they cannot do anything without God's grace! You may not always see them praying but they do. As the head, they pray for their women and their children. Plus their communities and other men as they help to iron them out. Praying men are very attractive. There is nothing like a man that can catch you in the spirit, with prayer!

Women are not the only ones who need that strong iron to have and hold them. Men, your kids do too. When was the last time you just sat down and held your child for 60 seconds or more with a hug. The mom is NOT the only one who is responsible for dishing out that unconditional parental love. Your son and daughter really admire you. Even if you haven't been around or in their life as much, they still crave your attention because you play a huge part in their DNA. Spend time with your children fathers.

This is where iron sharpens iron plays a paramount role in a child's life. Specifically in the male child. Too many young people think they are entitled to things. Men have to teach their sons as well as their daughters that this is not reality.  Hard work always pays off. It does not discriminate, at all!

I always express to my peers how I don't think some men are aware of how valuable they are as men. Some do, but some haven't even sniffed a clue of their value. It all starts at home with the father. There are still things only a father can do when it comes to raising their children, especially their sons. It is never too late to start doing your part if you haven't been doing it men. No matter how you feel, some little girl or boy misses you and needs you.

I want to wish all the papas a Happy Father's Day! You guys are so crucial and super-duper important to LIFE!
