Despite how skeptical some people are about the first black thunder woman being on the highest court of her dreams, it doesn't matter. You are entitled to feel the way you want to feel. Ketanji will serve graciously with history by her side. Her faith and experience will be her guide. I am so happy for her. To all of the naysayers who appear to be all-knowing like they are God, can you just be happy for the lady who broke the glass ceiling? I don't care if you think it was political or if you are in your feelings about believing Ketanji Brown Jackson won't do anything or make any difference. Can you give her a chance? I am particularly speaking to the melanated people. I heard about all of the apathy concerning Ketanji. We don't know how the Most High is going to use her. If it was your daughter you'd want the same love and support from people. Snap out of it.
I pray as women that we all can afford to apply "grit and grace" just like Ketanji Brown did. Share her story with your young people so they can walk like young ladies and mirror the image of one. Yelling, screaming and acting unladylike is not favorable to us as women. Or as examples for our little girls. Wherever you go, put on your Ketanji hat. It will be invisible but put it on anyway.
Brothers are going to work it out! They tried to knock Chris Smalls down. He was fired for trying to start a union at one of the warehouses in New York. Smalls is living proof how great strategies and grassroots organization are highly effective. A lot of people in the dominant society don't think black men are capable of what Chris Smalls did until they are allowed to prove otherwise. Thankfully, Mr. Chris Smalls is setting those captives in negative stigmas towards black men free. Mr. Chris Smalls changed the trajectory of the black male's image! Hallelujah! This narrative change will motivate other black men to stand up for themselves and be proactive. Stop underestimating those brilliant Chris Smalls men!
What did Amy Wax say? She said, "Blacks" and other "non-western" groups harbor "resentment, shame, and envy" against western people for their "outsized achievements and contributions."
In my most diplomatic voice, Amy Wax, what are you talking about! Girl bye! The only exceptionally large contributions western people have made is the kill, steal, and destroy jingle! It's a nasty song and the worse beat ever to grace the history of America. We are still trying to get our tunes in perfect harmony. America is not trying to better itself. They tend to backslide every once in a while. Amy Wax is a law professor with so many nubilous flaws in her reasoning. Just because other non-western folks (or not wypipo) are tirelessly fighting against your western un- fair systems, does not mean to define them as hating America. I bet you didn't know all of those non-western folks are actually more patriotic than you'd like to give them credit for. They want America to live up to its name. America acts so funny sometimes. When it comes to History America is diagnosed with a case of amnesia. European females, like Amy Wax won't ever experience what it is like to drink oppression daily, gargle in suppression often, and rinse with depression rooted in racism. The systemic racist tools placed by the western folks played a part on the psychological mental wellness of black people. If melanated folks are resentful, they have every right to be. There is no envy! Of course, shame. Black folks fought in your western wars, proudly pledging their allegiance even when they didn't get any. Even when it was the law of the land to treat them like they were less than human beings. What are you talking about, Ms. Wax? Do you know your history? The authentic truth? Do you comprehend the history of those non-western folks who actually built the generational wealth that you and your family enjoy, and bask in economically?
If you haven't already received the fact that we have an increase of homicides in our community, I'm telling you, we do! I don't like engaging in watching the news, but I am wise enough to know I need to be aware of the things going on in my community and the world. You do too! "My Life In The Chi" is a YouTube channel that I visit often to see what's going on in our hoods, or neighborhoods. I know some of you believe that this isn't happening in your neighborhood and it's not your problem because of whatever your reasoning is, but these criminal acts do affect all of us regardless of race, religion, income, or street address. We have to snuggle up close to being aware of our surroundings consistently. If you don't believe me just watch this video. The first young man in the picture above is also in the video not paying attention to the second young man (the killer) standing behind him. He has no idea what is about to happen to him. This information is only to inform you. It is not to promote fear. The crazy part is, the shooter is seen on several different cameras and angles. It doesn't appear to faze him that he is being fully filmed on camera, killing a person in the daylight. Please be safe out there!
Shame! Shame! Shame! We're not voting for the Biden Administration no more, more, more! There's a big fat piece of student debt hanging around at our door, door, door. He grabbed me by the collar. He made me pay a dollar. I don't want to go to Mexico no more, more, more! Okay wait a minute! That was actually a song I used to sing as a child with all of the other little brown skin girls on my block. When we played the hand clapping game or jumped rope (Double Dutch) we would sing that song, but I digress. Please pray for me (lmbo)! I am totally off topic. Those words in the song were related to Hampton University erasing all payments and debt for all of their students for the 2022-2023 school year. Isn't it simply wonderful of them to do that? The Biden Administration could do the very same thing. For some reason they have not. Why do they give all kind of foreign aid to people and educational aid to many students in other countries but are too hesitant to erase the debt of their own American people? American students are in need of their educational debts being canceled or forgiven as well?
Hampton University is certainly showing their empathy towards their students. They understand how hard it has been for a lot of their students during the covid pandemic. Hampton University will also keep rates low by not raising the cost of their tuition fees or room and board for the 2022-2023 school year. This good deed is very refreshing to hear. What about their books? I'm just saying. Thank you, Hampton University! We are all grateful. 😊
America has a lot to offer. Individuals from different countries have crossed over into the United States to make America their home. America's also got talented little brown skin mamas like Victory Brinker. Brinker became the youngest opera singer at the age of 7. I concede, I fell in love with the Mozart song that Victory performed in German on the Big Little Shots show. This girl is such a delightful young lady. If you watch any of her videos you would agree. Victory was born to sing! The God-given talent she has, will be appreciated all over the world. When Victory was a little girl, she started singing at an early age. She could memorize all of the songs of gospel CDs at the age of 3. Victory told her mom she wanted to sing at the highest pitch. After that, boom! The opera stardom was born. When Victory auditioned for America's Got Talent, she received the golden buzzer from all four of the judges and the host. Victory is 10 years old now. When I heard her sing one of my favorite childhood songs, I wanted to hug and love on her. Victory is way too adorable. She rocked her afro and beautiful smile in her cute little red Annie dress. Those that know me understand how I feel about all of the songs in the movie Annie. Victory Brinker is undeniably a superstar. Oh, and she speaks several languages. Gone gurl!
It is always my pleasure to show a change in the narrative when it comes to our young people. I believe Victory can and will introduce inspiration to the old and young so they can try a little opera in their lives. It's time to live out your dreams. It's funny how Victory Brinker didn't waste any time living and walking in her true purpose. Some folks are still trying to figure it all out. Yahweh gave Victory the victory at a very young age. The best is yet to come for her. You too, if you believe! Believe in yourself! You can do it!
