WILLIE MAE (BIG MAMA) THORNTON In a white-male dominated world, this brown skin mama was rocking her pearls as a rhythm and blues singer magically in the music industry. Ms. Thornton was born in Alabama as Willie Mae Thornton. The stentorian strength of Willie Mae God-given vocals gave birth to her music name, Big Mama Thornton. In black churches where Ms. Thornton's musical foundation came from, they would say women like Willie Mae can sang not sing, if they had a voice like hers. They said 'sang' and they meant it! Ms. Willie Mae Thornton also played the drums and the harmonica. When you think about Willie Mae Thornton, there are definitely some Big Mama Thornton vocals in the Jennifer Hudsons of the world. We can't forget about our Syleena Johnsons of the world either. Black women songstress got some of Thornton's vocal ingredients in them. Big Mama Thornton was such a major influence in the music industry to a lot of black women. She also rubbed off on other people. Particularly in the white community, like Elvis Presley. The Era of the 1950s and 1960s wouldn't be the same without Ms. Thornton purpose and destiny to sang like she did. Some of you reading this right now have little girls and boys with distinctive voices just like Big Mama Thornton, who are born to share some of their gifts with the world! Go ahead. This year's Women's History Month is dedicated to Big Mama Thornton. I have listened to some of her other songs, and I LOVE IT! I wish I had been introduced to her sooner. I am learning about her right along with some of you! Big Mama Thornton rocked that mic so hard. If you really want to know who the queen of rock 'n roll is, it's a black woman by the name of Big Mama Thornton. Hound Dog is a song that was originally written for Big Mama Thornton to sing by Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller. The song did very well, and it blew up Leiber and Stoller careers. The song, Hound Dog sold 2 million copies! Big Mama Thornton was only 25 with a hit song on her resume. Big Mama Thornton was inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame in 1984 after she died at the age of 57. The unsurprising sad part was, Big Mama Thornton only received a check for $500. Yes! Where did all that money go? Mama Thornton definitely is the number one reason why black folks should own everything they do in the music industry and lawyer up. Ensure that you have an attorney who is looking out for you, that you can really trust. They say Mr. Presley stole the song Hound Dog and made lots of money. When you hear the song, you think about Elvis, not a black openly gay woman who shouldn't be in the background. Elvis Presley made the song very famous. I don't know if Mr. Elvis Presley asked for permission to redo the song or not. I wasn't there but it is documented that black folks have had plenty of their originality copied and stolen by their colonizers throughout the inception of time. If you want some evidence just look through the chronicles or our American Black History. It should fill you up with plenty of proof. They love our music and culture but not our freedom and equality!

The fear was so real as they tried to stop and block God's new rock on the real high court, known as the Supreme Court. They concurrently relax then they still come back, trying to attack no other colors but the black. Maybe brown too! I think Chris already knew. So, he unionized and delivered Amazon's dignity and pride back to the people. On the other side homicides are increasingly high in certain communities where killings are part of a shooting spree. Not at Hampton University, because they are educating their students and helping them be debt free. Please pay attention to these angelic mentions with Victory keeping you alert. Who Runs The World Ah Supreme Court Girl (Ketanji) Despite how skeptical some people are about the first black thunder woman being on the highest court of her dreams, it doesn't matter. You are entitled to feel the way you want to feel. Ketanji will serve graciously with history by her side. Her faith and experience will be her guide. I am so happy for her. To all of the naysayers who appear to be all-knowing like they are God, can you just be happy for the lady who broke the glass ceiling? I don't care if you think it was political or if you are in your feelings about believing Ketanji Brown Jackson won't do anything or make any difference. Can you give her a chance? I am particularly speaking to the melanated people. I heard about all of the apathy concerning Ketanji. We don't know how the Most High is going to use her. If it was your daughter you'd want the same love and support from people. Snap out of it. I pray as women that we all can afford to apply "grit and grace" just like Ketanji Brown did. Share her story with your young people so they can walk like young ladies and mirror the image of one. Yelling, screaming and acting unladylike is not favorable to us as women. Or as examples for our little girls. Wherever you go, put on your Ketanji hat. It will be invisible but put it on anyway. Never Underestimate Chris Smalls Yall Brothers are going to work it out! They tried to knock Chris Smalls down. He was fired for trying to start a union at one of the warehouses in New York. Smalls is living proof how great strategies and grassroots organization are highly effective. A lot of people in the dominant society don't think black men are capable of what Chris Smalls did until they are allowed to prove otherwise. Thankfully, Mr. Chris Smalls is setting those captives in negative stigmas towards black men free. Mr. Chris Smalls changed the trajectory of the black male's image! Hallelujah! This narrative change will motivate other black men to stand up for themselves and be proactive. Stop underestimating those brilliant Chris Smalls men! Amy Wax On Her Black Attack What did Amy Wax say? She said, "Blacks" and other "non-western" groups harbor "resentment, shame, and envy" against western people for their "outsized achievements and contributions." In my most diplomatic voice, Amy Wax, what are you talking about! Girl bye! The only exceptionally large contributions western people have made is the kill, steal, and destroy jingle! It's a nasty song and the worse beat ever to grace the history of America. We are still trying to get our tunes in perfect harmony. America is not trying to better itself. They tend to backslide every once in a while. Amy Wax is a law professor with so many nubilous flaws in her reasoning. Just because other non-western folks (or not wypipo) are tirelessly fighting against your western un- fair systems, does not mean to define them as hating America. I bet you didn't know all of those non-western folks are actually more patriotic than you'd like to give them credit for. They want America to live up to its name. America acts so funny sometimes. When it comes to History America is diagnosed with a case of amnesia. European females, like Amy Wax won't ever experience what it is like to drink oppression daily, gargle in suppression often, and rinse with depression rooted in racism. The systemic racist tools placed by the western folks played a part on the psychological mental wellness of black people. If melanated folks are resentful, they have every right to be. There is no envy! Of course, shame. Black folks fought in your western wars, proudly pledging their allegiance even when they didn't get any. Even when it was the law of the land to treat them like they were less than human beings. What are you talking about, Ms. Wax? Do you know your history? The authentic truth? Do you comprehend the history of those non-western folks who actually built the generational wealth that you and your family enjoy, and bask in economically? My Life In The Chi (Englewood Homicides) If you haven't already received the fact that we have an increase of homicides in our community, I'm telling you, we do! I don't like engaging in watching the news, but I am wise enough to know I need to be aware of the things going on in my community and the world. You do too! "My Life In The Chi" is a YouTube channel that I visit often to see what's going on in our hoods, or neighborhoods. I know some of you believe that this isn't happening in your neighborhood and it's not your problem because of whatever your reasoning is, but these criminal acts do affect all of us regardless of race, religion, income, or street address. We have to snuggle up close to being aware of our surroundings consistently. If you don't believe me just watch this video. The first young man in the picture above is also in the video not paying attention to the second young man (the killer) standing behind him. He has no idea what is about to happen to him. This information is only to inform you. It is not to promote fear. The crazy part is, the shooter is seen on several different cameras and angles. It doesn't appear to faze him that he is being fully filmed on camera, killing a person in the daylight. Please be safe out there! Hampton University Giving Away Free Money (Erasing Debt) Shame! Shame! Shame! We're not voting for the Biden Administration no more, more, more! There's a big fat piece of student debt hanging around at our door, door, door. He grabbed me by the collar. He made me pay a dollar. I don't want to go to Mexico no more, more, more! Okay wait a minute! That was actually a song I used to sing as a child with all of the other little brown skin girls on my block. When we played the hand clapping game or jumped rope (Double Dutch) we would sing that song, but I digress. Please pray for me (lmbo)! I am totally off topic. Those words in the song were related to Hampton University erasing all payments and debt for all of their students for the 2022-2023 school year. Isn't it simply wonderful of them to do that? The Biden Administration could do the very same thing. For some reason they have not. Why do they give all kind of foreign aid to people and educational aid to many students in other countries but are too hesitant to erase the debt of their own American people? American students are in need of their educational debts being canceled or forgiven as well? Hampton University is certainly showing their empathy towards their students. They understand how hard it has been for a lot of their students during the covid pandemic. Hampton University will also keep rates low by not raising the cost of their tuition fees or room and board for the 2022-2023 school year. This good deed is very refreshing to hear. What about their books? I'm just saying. Thank you, Hampton University! We are all grateful. 😊 Victory Brinker Magic
America has a lot to offer. Individuals from different countries have crossed over into the United States to make America their home. America's also got talented little brown skin mamas like Victory Brinker. Brinker became the youngest opera singer at the age of 7. I concede, I fell in love with the Mozart song that Victory performed in German on the Big Little Shots show. This girl is such a delightful young lady. If you watch any of her videos you would agree. Victory was born to sing! The God-given talent she has, will be appreciated all over the world. When Victory was a little girl, she started singing at an early age. She could memorize all of the songs of gospel CDs at the age of 3. Victory told her mom she wanted to sing at the highest pitch. After that, boom! The opera stardom was born. When Victory auditioned for America's Got Talent, she received the golden buzzer from all four of the judges and the host. Victory is 10 years old now. When I heard her sing one of my favorite childhood songs, I wanted to hug and love on her. Victory is way too adorable. She rocked her afro and beautiful smile in her cute little red Annie dress. Those that know me understand how I feel about all of the songs in the movie Annie. Victory Brinker is undeniably a superstar. Oh, and she speaks several languages. Gone gurl! It is always my pleasure to show a change in the narrative when it comes to our young people. I believe Victory can and will introduce inspiration to the old and young so they can try a little opera in their lives. It's time to live out your dreams. It's funny how Victory Brinker didn't waste any time living and walking in her true purpose. Some folks are still trying to figure it all out. Yahweh gave Victory the victory at a very young age. The best is yet to come for her. You too, if you believe! Believe in yourself! You can do it! Black History is American History, most definitely! Ok so why is it 2022 and our kids are not taught about Black History in the public or private schools? Besides, slavery! There is no excuse not to incorporate Black History into the curriculums of the American school systems. They learn about everything else. Well, I blame the parents and elders in each family 100%. It's your job to teach and train your family in the lessons and history of black folks. It is also in your best interest to demand Black History is part of the curriculum at your child's school. Get your lovely selves involved in the policy at your local school board. There is so much to learn about and to be proud of in American Black History. Just when you thought black excellence would not stop rocking, (cuz it won't) the National Archives for Black Women's History is showing off the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion in the Library of Congress. Black women served in the United States Army, slayed in black girl magic and they saved the day again, in productivity as they have always done for America. Ok, why aren't these black women veteran's history incorporated into the American school curriculum? Their image is conducive to all kids having the knowledge of knowing about them and the many contributions they successfully made in the United States Army. Image is everything, especially in America when the negative stigmas of black women still interrupt the true essence of who they are. Show some respect to these true soldiers. Do you mean these beautiful, savvy, melanated women made history because a white woman by the name of Lady Eleanor Roosevelt and a black woman by the name of Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune passionately supported and promoted black women to meet a need that needed to be met? Yes, that's right! In the 1940's these black women were formed as the "Six Triple Eight" (6888) to help those men in the United States Armed Forces receive their mail in a timely manner under the leadership of Charity Adams Earley. Initially, the African American Women's Army Corp. was their name. When the United States Military needed more women in Birmingham, England over 800 melanated women known as the Six Triple Eight released all their magic to help in saving the day, despite living up close and personal in segregation. The 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion produced thousands of mails per shift. Mail that was backed up for months was squared away in three months when these queens stepped on the scene! These women were trained for overseas, and they had assignments everywhere. Those Black Girls been rocking! You should know about them! You and your family should read about them and share their story with other people. I never knew this! This is why our melanin is pure magic! We have been in the back of the battle and in the front, kicking people to the curve! Please share this with your little girls and boys. I started to explore this awareness after I saw the movie, Black Panther. I heard women were the real warriors in some African countries as portrayed in the movie. Our kids need to be exposed to this. It shows us how courageous and intelligent our ancestors were. Just like we are today! Put some respect on their names. Please remember them! These are inventions that were invented by black people:
Yes, they never enjoy telling all the factors around oppression and enslavement. A lot of melanated men and women fought back. They planned and strategized how to escape from the colonizers wicked deeds. Mr. Robert Smalls is worthy of your time and study. He was a warrior hero. Look up these massacres. Look up every single one! I double dare you. They don't want to talk about how white folks attacked, lynched and murdered black people and their children for no other reason but because of skin color and pure hatred. White supremacy allowed this. Where is the justice? Is this why they want to keep Critical Race Theory cryptic from their kids? The truth will set you free! Malcolm X is a man I truly adore. He was concerned about my well-being way before I was born. I'm very thankful for his sacrifice and all of our ancestors that were on the battlefield of equality, freedom and justice. We are still fighting! The media is doing just what Malcolm said. They make the criminal look like the victim and the victim is the criminal. For example, Travon Martin. When race is in the midst, the black man or young boy is a thug, he had a prior record, and he smoked the same substance (weed) that most Europeans are getting filthy rich from because now, its legal. If it is a white man or boy, he was an A student or he struggles with mental illness. Their image is not tainted but black folks are. The media are quite aware of what they are doing and have been doing. If you have melanated kids, especially black boys, please start sharing these truths with them. They need to know their history to avoid a lot of traps. This is why melanated people remain "Black And Proud." Their struggles, their pain, their resistance and their domination of everything cultural, keeps them on fire with the elasticity to show up again and bounce back to win. I once had an encounter with a young Caucasian woman. It was very positive. She asked me why I had worn the t-shirt I had put on one particular day at work. My shirt said, "When God Made The Black Woman He Was Just Showing Off." She thought I didn't like white people. She actually was thinking that when black people would wear shirts affirming the affection of their sisterhood, brotherhood or just basking in the glory to love on themselves, it had something to do with being against all the Europeans. She asked, "Do they hate white people?" Quite the contrary. I was very thankful we got the chance to sit down and talk to each other about how she perceived the subject. I expressed to her, it had absolutely nothing to do with European folks, at all! I thought to myself, if she was thinking our self-love was a message of negatively for white people, other Caucasians probably had those same sentiments. So, this was some dialogue that needed to happen. I had to remind her about our histories. As a European woman I told her how the world would always be in favor of protecting, respecting and placing women like her, as the pinnacle of beauty and worthiness to exists. Then I flipped the script. I told her how melanated women were told they were not human, not valued and so not beautiful. I talked to her about the self-hate my community currently deals with because of the residue of oppression and suppression which has led to a lot of depression in the black community. In order to lift ourselves up and take just a little bit of pride in being who we are, and loving our blackness, we have to affirm ourselves with empowering words and phrases. Sometimes our unity and love are created in what we wear, like on our shirts. It really isn't in our nature to be hateful. When we do fight back it has everything to do with us wanting to be free. Not hating white people. We accept and love everyone until you continue keeping your foot on our necks.
Music helps in every situation of our lives. Especially the music that is created by melanated people. It sets the tone for the rest of the world. In honor of June being Black Music Month, I wanted to share some great tunes with you that I know will help you navigate through this journey called life. The third week of Black Music Month is bringing you those old school tunes. Please remember that you will always get good music in our culture. Black Music Month is exactly what it states. It is music designed to venerate black music and black culture (black excellence). Liberty and justice are still parts of the agenda. As mentioned out in the HuffPost, the idea behind selecting June as Black Music Month came from President Jimmy Carter. It was further pushed into legislation by music producer Kenny Gamble and his ex-wife Mrs. Dyana Williams. Dyana is known as the Godmother of Black Music Month as noted by Ebony. Our interest is still resistance ✊🏿 ✊🏾 RAPPER'S DELIGHT BY THE SUGUARHILL GANG I don't mean to brag; I don't mean to boast but I will be rocking with this song like until 100 years old. Whether you are cruising down the street in your 64 or in that new truck you just brought, this song immediately makes you feel some form of goodness. This song is played on all these so-called (pagan) holidays. Wonder Mike and his gang produced a classic song that will remain in the Black Music Month Hall of Fame. If you're invited to a barbeque or cook out (not picnic) and each person is asked to bring some good music to play, this song will have you looking so Sancti-Fly when you bring this song. Please don't play this song out on the skating ring floor. Oh, my God! Black folks will be on those skating wheels acting a plum fool as the best memories are created. This is a must to listen to! BIG PIMPIN BY JAY-Z Go ahead and play this song while you're driving or in the house. You will not be able to stop the head nodding because the beat in this song is mad stupid crazy. If you ever been to any family or friends gatherings, when this song was played it made all the hands go up in the air like you just didn't care. We would engage in singing the lyrics intensely because we were feeling how good this song made us feel. Those of us that are dancers stayed on the dance floor when this Jay-Z classic song came on. Some of you guys were the first ones on the dance floor when Big Pimpin was played. It didn't matter if you had no moves. You were just happy to be part of the groove. SMILE BY LIL DUVAL FT BALL GEEZY AND SNOOP Live your best life. Don't worry about other people's negative energy. That is not your job to fix. Continue to smile and enjoy your fun times with your loved ones! This song is calling you to do that! If you're not doing it, start because we don't know what this life is going to throw our way. This is the type of song you get to play over and over again and never get tired of it. The words are encouraging. So live your best life! We don't have time to be going back and forth with foolish people. Enjoy all the joy you can squeeze out of this life! FORGET ME NOTS BY PATRICE RUSHEN I remember growing up listening to this song. I automatically fell in love with this song. It was always something magical about this song. When I hear this song today it brings good old fashioned nostalgia. Most of the music our parents were into, fell on us. This particular song is a combination of good music, lyrics and that voice Patrice Rushen is rocking. Listen to this song no matter what mood you are currently in. Your mood will change for the betterment of yourself. I'm telling you this is good stuff. SUMMER-TIME BY DJ JAZZYJEFF AND WILL SMITH Summer, summer, summer time. This is another popular family cookout song. Incidentally, we do not say picnic its historically negative. We say barbeque or cookout for those who don't know. We definitely enjoy sitting back unwinding with this classic feel good hit. It's like a family reunion marathon when you play this song. It's jazzy, smooth and it is soothing. You get nothing but respect and of course lots of positive stares when you're out banging this song while you cruise around the block. You know we couldn't wait to get our license at 16 and ask our parents for the car and show off while playing this song. HEY!THATS OUR JAM, right? Yes! THE GROOVE LINE BY HEAT WAVE
It is time for you to snuggle up close to this amazing feel-good song. If you have not been properly introduced to this awesome groove, get in line and listen to this song. You must listen to this song. Instantly your energy will change as you soak into this song. Leave your worries behind. Believe everything is going to work out and guess what, it's done. Music like this song can mentally set your atmosphere to goodness for goodness sake! You can play this song multiple times and feel great all over again. When you purchase any of these tees or hoodies, not only are you contributing to peace and love in black people, but you are also breaking generational curses. Your kids will have high self-esteem and self-love to the tenth power just by covering them in this message. This logo is going to further stimulate the magic and pride we have for each other. It is the very best articulated expression of love you can give daily. Not just on those man-made holidays or engagements. This trademark is a lifestyle you can adapt to. The I LUV YOU (BLK) goods are positive affirmations imperative for the entire family. I LUV YOU (BLK) WOMAN! Yes! Tell her she is a Queen-Mama. Show her off in your love. If you want to see a big smile on a black woman's face instantly, give her one of these love shirts. Especially if it is purchased by you! You know you're her favorite person. I have a few shirts that say this (I LUV YOU BLK WOMAN). I've bought several for myself and for others in my family. The energy I get from my shirt is phenomenal. I mean, it's like all that love, pride, and melanin magic wrapped up tight in one big thread. It's poppin' so hard. I also like how sisterhood is embraced by us wearing this lifestyle on our sleeves. Don't forget about your little girls. Please allow them to snuggle up close with some of the I LUV YOU (BLK) girl tees and hoodies. I love when fathers, brothers, and uncles give the little girls in their families this kind of positive affirmation. Our brown skin little girls and young ladies feel all the love when the exchange of love is poured into them by our King-Papas. We 've got to drown them in this piece of love. They need it! I LUV YOU (BLK) MAN! We can never forget to cover our King-Papas in this so fresh n so clean, its a dope hoodie kind of love! When black brotherhood walks in a room or on the streets with that fly funkadelic walk, in the right black boy joy beat, everybody around them got to be nosy, or to look or stop. Who is that? We know that black men walk to their own rhythm but when he wears his I LUV YOU (BLK) MAN tee from you, ain't nothing you can tell him. He is fully healed and he is loved. Real men share love and spread it! Don't forget to purchase these tee shirts for our little black boys. You can cancel out a lot of hostility and anger just by showing love to our black boys and spending time with them.
This controversial piece is kind of like my Twitter Tweets of The Week. Once in a while I cruise around Twitter and talk about many random things trending but this time it will be with post from Instagram. Sometimes there is audio so please don't forget to click on the links in purple to listen in. I will always and forever dedicate this controversy towards the black liberation for melanated people and agendas of freedom in all of our nations! This edition of controversy mixed with black girl magic and of course extreme spiritual warfare is unbelievable, yet believable. What in the name of white supremacy spirits, is going on in Mason, Tennessee? If you live in Mason, Tennessee please pay attention to what the Caucasian lady is saying. She is informing the world about the colonizers wanting something that does not belong to them anymore. White folks were in control of Mason for many years. They were in bed doing it ruff and long with corruption until they were all laid to rest by criminal charges. Mason has white people living there as well. The majority of the folks living in Mason are melanated black people. The black and white citizens were not pleased with the leadership of Mason. A lot of the black people stepped up to manage the mismanagement of the former leaders of the City of Mason. The Caucasian man on the republican (Jason Mumpower) team couldn't sleep well at night because, oh my goodness, all of those kinky black people are running the City of Mason now. It is just not fair, right! Incidentally, Mr. Jason Mumpower is the state comptroller of Mason, Tennessee. Mr. Mumpower audaciously had the nerve to tell all of the black residents of Mason to release their power to him and his red cronies so the white folks can take over Mason. We know from our American history that white men love to be in control of all the things their forefathers gave them! Land and property are number one! Here is the problem with that. If a city is predominately black, what is so wrong with the leadership being reflective of the community? Absolutely nothing is wrong! You would NEVER have a city full of white folks living there as the majority and the leaders of the town be all black. White people would feel very uncomfortable, and they wouldn't like it at all. White people are very used to everything being about them. Wherever they go, they always see representatives of people who look like them from the police departments to the White House. How dare those colored, negros, African Americans, or black people want representation! Who do they think they are! Black people stand proudly on the shoulders of their ancestors' anthem to reign in liberty and justice for all! Especially economically. The adversaries only want to cause trouble when money is involved. They think they deserve it and you do not! Pay attention because if it is happening in Mason, Tennessee I am sure that it is trying to creep into your neighborhoods. I pray the black leadership prevails in the City of Mason. Nobody cares when a black woman cries. When a white woman cries the world will stop! When white women go missing the army, navy, air force and marines is going to rescue them. There isn't a lot of thought or consideration given to black families when their females are missing. If a white woman said or lied about you doing something to her, the world is coming to an end for you. Think about what happened to Emmett Till! The ugly truth is, white women know this and some of them are still trying to use these racist tactics against melanated men and boys in black communities. White women are the epitome of beauty standards in our country of America. Isn't that the truth? This is why black women affirm that their Black is Beautiful. These women in this particular Instagram post are having a candid conversation on the subject of white fragility. All of the Karen episodes in the world that black people experience are laced with white fragility. The black woman on top is very blunt and straight to the point in this Instagram post. Listen carefully. I hope you can learn from the conversation and receive whatsoever it is that the universe wants you to get from it. America will get better and better when more melanated men and women are represented in these court systems and public policy. I don't know if you noticed that we do not have a perfect union. In order to perform the duties of obtaining a more perfect union, white supremacy has to die! Inclusion of all Americans must be a huge reflection of representation. How can you speak to impartiality and apply the rule of law judicially if you have a thick layer of bias mucus surrounding your heart and mind? You certainly cannot! A lot of policy issues are covered in smithereens of racism. What Mr. Corey Booker verbally gave to Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson in this captured post of the confirmation hearings, resonated well with black women all over the world. I see my gorgeous momma and my strong melanin poppin' aunts in Ketanji. Of course, the elders that paved our way, my Lula (granny) and Mable (great aunt) too! I also see my amazingly empowered, beautiful female sisters, cousins, nieces, and all of my friends in Judge Jackson. I am so overjoyed for all the little brown skin girls in Ms. Lula's bloodline. Plus, the ones all over the world! This historic moment gives them hope! It allows them to know they are worthy to dream big! They can see that they too, can be on the highest Supreme Court. They will supersede the expectation because this is what our family deposits in them! Some Lula, some Mable and some Ketanji Brown Jackson. I understand those who are used to all of the judges and those people in public policy looking just like them, not seeing the big deal about the first black woman being appointed to the United States Supreme Court! They are so conditioned to the people holding positions of power being white. It's like second nature. I get it but there are those that do get it! It really is a big deal! We all know in the black community what it took for Ketanji to be placed at the highest seat in the land as a Supreme Court Justice. Ketanji Brown Jackson hard work and perseverance paid off. She definitely earned it! Nothing or no one can ever block or stop what God created for Ketanji Brown Jackson to rock. It's her dream come true. Ketanji rocked her magic with "grit and grace" at those hearings just like Mr. Booker so eloquently expressed. Ketanji is worthy! I enjoyed every consonant and vowel of Corey Booker's love and encouragement given to our first Judge Jackson, on the United States Supreme Court. To control a people, you must first control what they think about themselves and how they regard their history and culture. And when your conqueror makes you ashamed of your culture and your history, he needs no prison walls and no chains to hold you." John Henrik Clarke I just want to overemphasize how we cannot have a more perfect union when our babies in the black community are attacked by those in the dominant society who place discriminatory rules set aside for only certain people. This hairstyle in this Instagram post is part of a black girl's culture. Beads on braided beautiful hair may not be the standard for you but it's everything for black girls. It affirms how lovely she is. What are the rules? If those are the rules, all of those in the powerlifting competition has to follow the rules. It seems ridiculous. Why wasn't the information mentioned prior to the competition? Were the judges not aware of the beautiful brown skin girls competing in the competition on that day? There is nothing wrong with her wearing beads in her braids. Powerlifting is picking up weights. As you view the video you can see the young girl has short hair. The beads in her hair wouldn't be a distraction to her lifting weights. Did the coach forget to inform her team about acceptable hairstyles at the last minute? The girl was told to take the beads out of her hair, or she would be disqualified from the powerlifting competition. The video is evidence of members on her team helping her take out her beads. That's a shame! The black girl's hair in this post was nice and well-groomed. This is hilarious. I surmise this funny couple didn't care about two wrongs making anything right. They said it's their turn! People like having a short-term memory when what they do to others is done back to them. Sometimes, you have to treat people the way they treat you so they can stop their foolishness. This is honestly the story of my life! I sure do miss my old neighbor. She was a praying woman and a senior. She didn't smoke. Thank God! She was the best neighbor I ever had. She did not creep and sneak around with men living in her unit who were not on her lease. We are always trying to get over if we can, until we are caught. She also did not engage in disturbing my peace and good sleep with her loud relations at night. The freaks really do come out at night. People who have good character follow the rules and they are considerate of their neighbors. Be careful of those sneaky people. They love making up their own rules. Why don't we want to get out of the bed to wake up? This case is very similar to the Ahmaud Arbery case. In Brookhaven Mississippi a young man by the name of D' Monterrio was at work delivering a package for FedEx when he was shot at by two white men. By the grace of Yahweh, he is alive to tell his story. This case needs more exposure, with liberty and justice for all. Kudos to Mechee X for the interview. Oh, and D' Monterrio has received protection from the New Black Panther Party in Mississippi due to threats from Brandon Case and Gregory Case family members on the police force. Yet we trying to get that perfect union to form in America. We have a lot of cleaning out to do. You don't get to pull out your guns on people just because you dislike their melanin. What are your thoughts on this please? I can't say I disagree with him too much. The Game is talking about some juicy controversy in this Instagram post. Do you have a voice or not? Technically speaking, we could solve our own problems if we collectively collaborated together on all the pertinent matters plaguing our communities. He is correct. They love to steal from us, but they won't ever see us as their equals, therefore your children's children will have to fight against the same causes we are still fighting for today. The ones our grandparents fought for. In order to perform a more perfect union you have to allow people to be and exist organically in freedom. America still allows racism and white supremacy. If all the black entertainers, journalist, producers, athletes, actors, writers, media and other average black people joined forces to create and build new legacies for melanated people, crime would be at a minimum. The prison industry would go down. We know they wouldn't want that! Wherever they can collect greed it's a wrap. We can have our own financial institutions, educational systems, and medical institutions quickly. We already know that only we can save ourselves. No one is coming to save us. Investing in people is the main ingredient. It's not like we have never done it before. Black people are doing this. They are playing a major part in the minds and lives of our young people and in humanity. We have plenty of black women and men putting in the work in their communities who are not millionaires. Just think about if the folks who are the big millionaires came together in unity to build businesses and give their people careers or jobs. We can very well create our own plans to help black men and women ditch the mass incarceration movement. There would be no homelessness, or any person left out. The village would take care of them! That would have to require people to leave their egos and emotions out. It can be done. I don't know what everyone is standing around waiting for. Teach your kids! This is terrible. This woman was getting out of her car, and she was attacked by a hoodlum in a black tinted window car. The young man isn't getting away. He isn't. His picture and face are all over social media. I wanted to put him on blast as well. Some decent person knows who he is. What I noticed is all the cars on the street. None of the neighbors seem to have heard any of the commotion. Instead of the person just recording it, why not call the police as well to curve the violence? I hope as a community we can do a little better at helping each other when these criminal acts take place right in front of our face. You can call the police anonymously if you don't trust them. If this was any female in your family, you know you would want someone to intervene, right? This is not what our ancestors died for! This is very disheartening. The good news is a local artist came to her rescue. God blessed this lady through him. Yahweh blessings and protection be upon the young man and his bloodline.
I know there are kids or family members who are hard-headed. You lecture them and talk to them. They do the same wrong things. Don't give up if you are in that struggling chapter with a child or family member. Keep praying, seek counseling and get some intervention to help you. Continue to stay on the young men in your family. Show them this video. Let them know they can't hang out with just anyone. The person driving the black car in this situation is just as guilty. A lot of people have their gun licenses to carry. Tonya Rogers is added to that long list. She is the senior woman in the disturbing video. Protect black women! Some of these young people carjacking, and robbing folks are going to walk up on the wrong person one day. Keep warning them and praying for them so maybe they can turn their lives around. This isn't the way to go! Life is still about choices! We have to work for what we want, not steal it from others. VICENTE GUERRERO Melanated blood is spilled over in all races. We are mixed up with some other bloodline. No one is 100% anything anymore. This is why before slavery and after slavery, Europeans decreed if you have one drop of black blood in you, then you are black. It's a real strong gene. You should be proud and honored. Some folks are ashamed to have it in them, but they enjoy the benefits of black culture. Vicente Guerrero is the first Afro-Mexican black president of Mexico. Yes, we have a huge lineage in Africa, Asia, Europe, Australia, and America! That melanated blood is everywhere. In 1829 President Guerrero wanted his people to be free so he abolished slavery. Texas was part of Mexico so when Guerrero stopped the free labor they were not in agreement. Texas removed from Mexico to fund their lifestyles.
Guerrero parents were a mixture of Indian, Mexican and African. Wow! President Guerrero was a man that actually cared for his community and people. He was not for racial oppression. It wasn't in his nature! Guerrero was against those who tried to abuse the civil rights of others. He was betrayed and executed for his principles. Vicente Guerrero was against colorism, but it remains in Mexico even to this day. Afro-Mexicans are erased out of the history of Mexico. The darker skin Mexicans are not acknowledged because of the African blood that shows up in their skin. Those Mexicans that know the history of Guerrero and appreciate his legacy call Guerrero "the greatest colored man." Isn't it nice to know about the rich heritage of Black History? I think so because our children need to see examples of melanated people doing extraordinary goodness in the land who looked like them. If you really want to get down with some powerful rituals, listen to gospel music from melanated folks. You won't be able to stop singing because they don't know how to end their songs (Lol). Okay, that was funny, but it is kind of true. The way those choir directors direct their choirs is unlike no others. The men and women in the gospel arena will have you crying good tears as healing and miracles are yours. The second week of Black Music Month is bringing you some nice gospel tunes. Our interest is still resistance ✊🏿 ✊🏾 The Pace Sisters (When God is in The Building) When God is in the building there will be a change in the atmosphere. Evilness cannot dwell and it will not win in the presence of an omnipotent God (Yahweh). Sometimes all you have to do is play songs like this and you'll receive whatever you are in need of. If you need a breakthrough in any area of your life or just a few deliverances to get you on the right track, you can enter the spiritual realm of praise and worship. This kind of gospel music does something good to your soul. Charles Jenkins (War) This means war for sure! I'm sorry but sometimes R-Kelly tunes won't be able to help you. When you are under a spiritual attack you have to have some music like this in your pocket to gird your spiritual armor. You can't have my family or any of the black male family members and friends I pray for! There is so much going on in our world. If you don't have a prayer on your tongue or some form of positive affirmation you say before you leave your house, please start. Set your atmosphere! Command your mornings and lose your angels everywhere. This definitely means war. It is a spiritual warfare. Carnal minded folks, get into your spiritual realm. Shirley Ceasar (Praise Him) Yes, I feel like praising the Most High God (Yahweh) automatically. I really don't have to be directed by any man or woman to do so. I understand in many places of worship they unfortunately have to do that but shouldn't. I get that everyone's spiritual walk with God is different and I've learned to respect that. When you get an experience with God and develop that personal relationship, you can't help but to PRAISE GOD as Shirley so powerfully sangs. This song is an old praise and worship classic. Yolks of every form of negative energy is being destroyed when you praise God. God has been good to me so I have a right to give up my thanks and praise. You don't have to run around the church. When you wake up say thank you God. Bebe &Cece Winas (Heaven) This song is also a classic mainstream modern song that the world needed. How wonderful is it to be able to change lives and heal people through your music as brother and sister! Their ministry together has always been heaven sent. Those who would not normally listen to gospel music found themselves liking Bebe & Cede Winas. You really have to switch it up and listen to some gospel music. Koryn Hawthorn (Unstoppable) Be unstoppable in your faith, relationships, goals, spiritual gifts and in guarding your spirit. Everybody can't be in your space, so you have to have boundaries. You can't always go by what the doctor says when healing was in you before the sickness came. You have to cultivate your relationship (not religion) with God. I understand that things are easier said than do when it is you going through the test, but this song encourages us as believers to fight. Stay in that boxing ring and fight for your life, your kids, your family, your community and against all the wickedness coming your way. This song is like your daily affirmations that you need. Kim McFarland (In My Name)
I concede that I am extremely biased when it comes to this wonderful thunder. I absolutely love her. Kim is my favorite gospel singer. Thank you, Lord for this fireball! There is a time and a place for all things. There are seasons for us to stand still or to move. The spirit of God or a higher power is definitely stitched in these gospel songs. I try to implement gospel songs and artist each year during the month of June. I know it will bless the ears of all who carefully listens. I can bet you more Kim McFarland songs (lol) that you're going to fall in love with Kim McFarland, after just one taste of her anointed sweet voice. Sometimes God will speak to you through a song. Don't miss your blessing. Each year preachers and faith leaders often say or use some level of prophecy to tell their members their yearly message. "This year is your year!" Remember, every year can be your year. Pray for the right connections and people for your life! You have to make it happen by doing the prerequisite. Put in the work for your goals and dreams. REMINDERS OF SELF LOVE SND SELF CARE= POSITIVE ENERGY
You Are Enough There ain't nobody else like you or who can do the things you do! Tell yourself that you are enough. Say it every day if you have to! You are your own baby so fight for yourself and take care of your mind, energy, and space! Work On Yourself for Yourself Whatever you wish to have, want to do, or be, you have to work on yourself to get to that next level. The focus is you! You are the center of this attention! In order to be your best self, work on the things that only you know you need, to get there. Do it for yourself and no one else. You Are Going to Be Ok Life will always be unpredictable because there are just some things that we will not be prepared for. Sometimes we can plan ahead and soak in belief and good energy. We still won't be in control. Disappointments, adversity, loss, and stress are inevitable in this life, but you are going to be OK. Tell yourself that. It is the human spirit that helps you fight all things thrown your way. Go ahead, say it to yourself. The power of life and death is in your tongue. No matter what it is, "You Are Going to Be Ok." It may just take time. Good Things Are Coming to You This is very powerful. Release these words over your life, into the universe and see what happens. Good things are about to happen to you. Say it every day. You Are Stronger Than Your Problems Remind yourself, you are stronger than your problems. You will overcome them! Sometimes the pain is so elevated we can't see a way out. I know we sometimes use alcohol or drugs to run away from our problems or to numb the pain. We all have different coping mechanisms. Tap into your spirituality or higher power. It is a mental battle that you will prevail against because you are stronger than the problems you encounter. The Past Is Over I understand how feelings and emotions can keep us trapped or reluctant to move forward from experiences we have. In order for you to embrace self-care and self-love, don't allow old wine or old keys to go into your newness. The thing that happened to you is in the past so work on getting to a place where your goal is right now, the present. It might happen overnight. It might take some time. It is really up to you to release it! Tell yourself out loud, "The Past Is Over." You Are Going to Be Ok (Have to say it again) Life will always be unpredictable because there are just some things that we will not be prepared for. You Love Yourself Seriously, if you do not have any love for your own self, how do you anticipate another human being loving you? Until you learn how to love yourself you will attract the wrong energy to you. Practice on being good to yourself. Practice on letting folks know how you will and won't be treated. You will love yourself! You Deserve Endless Love and Happiness Yes! Believe that you deserve all the love and happiness your mind can receive. Don't say foolish words like "I'll never have love and happiness!" You forfeit the blessings. Your Body Deserves to Be Love Listen up! You were born to be loved and adored from head to toe. No one should have any rights on abusing you or mistreating you. Your body receives love only. We reject the antithesis of that. Your love rocks! Be Proud of Yourself Make a list of the things in your life you are proud of. It can be big or small. Try to keep the focus on you. You did it! Be proud of breaking those bad habits. Be very proud of those goals coming to pass. You Are Enough, You Did Enough, You Can Let Go Please keep on saying this! You are enough. No one gets to define you! You did enough and you can relax and let go. Believe in You Believe you are worthy to have it because you are. Believe you deserve it first. Some of you guys and girls don't even believe you deserve a good partner, the highest salary, or those business contracts. You have to believe you deserve it and you do! Believe you can do it! You will! Focus On What You Can Control Stay in your lane! Focus on what you can control. If it has nothing to do with you learn how to stay in your own lane. You really can't control anything else but your own business. Let Go of Doubt and Fear "I am letting go of doubt and fear." When you do, the magic takes over and you will begin to fly like a beautiful butterfly. Don't look back! It's Okay Not to be Ok Yep, it certainly is ok to be ok! You have every right to own your feeling. We all have our days when things are just OK. Every day is a new day, so it's ok. You Can Only Change You You can only change yourself! There is no need to point out other people's flaws or how screwed up their character is. We all have things we all can work on. Do not concern yourself with how your sister doesn't serve her community like you do. It is wonderful you take your kids to the soup kitchen to help feed those in need each holiday season. Your sister has the same number of kids as you do, and she never takes her kids to serve in soup kitchens. You can only change you! Just keep on taking your kids! Don't worry about your sister or her kids. Your Life is Worth Living Your life is so worth living! People love you! Look in the mirror and say that to yourself. Affirm how your life is worth living. It might seem silly. Say it anyway. You deserve to live your life in an abundance of love and self-care! You Are Worthy of Your Own Love Yes, you are! You will have your own love. Keep speaking this over your life! You are worthy of all things, and this includes your own love story! Believe it! You Are Destined for Success Keep on putting in the work. You will obtain it all! You are destined for success so don't give up. Nothing can stop or block your destiny. It's already written for you to succeed by the Most High, Yahweh. |
